Hey, I'm a new grower. I've done my research but am still unsure on a few things and I've come here to hopefully get tips from any of experienced growers. I'm not really patient so I went about buying " auto cannabis seeds ". I'm almost ready to start growing. I received my seeds in the mail today. I bought 3 Auto Ultra Lemon Haze, 3 Berry Ryder, 1 Auto Purple Cheese and I also received + Speed and Jack 47 auto for free. I also have Auto Blue Diesel and Northern Light blue which I been saving for some time hoping I could gain some experience before starting those and NOT messing them up.

For starters I bought 2 bags of Miracle Grow Potting Mix soil, 7 one gallon pots, one 75 watt light bulb and 2 65 watt bulbs too.

I'm going to start growing + Speed, 1 auto ultra lemon haze and 1 Berry Ryder.

Please share any tips you have so I won't mess this up because this will be both time and MONEY wasted if I do lol

I wouldn't use the soil that you are using because it contains time released fertilizer. That soil says that it feeds for up to 6 months. Maybe try Fox Farm Ocean Forest when the seedlings are big enough to handle it. It sounds like you are starting from seed so it's best to use a soil that is better for seedlings because seedlings don't use much food. You could use Fox Farm Light Warrior to start your seeds. Remember to include some extra perlite in your soil for better air and drainage.

Are you growing in a cab, tent, or outside? I assume the 75 and 2 65 watt bulbs are cfls? What kind of wattage and type of lighting you plan on flowering under? Best advice I could tell you would be to get your environment dialed in, But experience is the best teacher. Good luck!!

I'm growing indoor. I plan on making a homemade grow tent of some kind. I do also plan on changing the lights to LED once they have flowered

Good link hestah!

And I agree with Snype. You should switch to a different growing medium, not your typical potting soil, because seeds don't need as much nutrients when germinating as they supply their own.

I've had success with Pro Mix products. I transplant into Pro Mix HP.

If you keep doing your research and looking on the forum you'll get the help you need - hopefully no money will be wasted but new growers are bound to make mistakes. It's how you learn! Good luck!
