First time, 400W S.O.G w/ Silver Pearl with pics!!!

Hey everyone I made a thread awhile back about the grow box I was building and I got a little side-tracked. I'm two days into bud but have been taking photos (phone quality sorry) for about 3-4 weeks that they've been alive.. Well here they are and i'll be sure to keep everyone updated with pictures as they come... I'm new to all this so any questions please feel free to ask.

Your soil mix looks dense - what are you using?

I'm only using a cheap potting mix.. What you can see in the bigger pot on the last picture is just a soil/sphagnum moss mix... It is dense the rest are soil only though.

This is them with three days stretch and they're filling nicely.


Week 1 begins the first pistils are appearing. Things are about to get crammed packed in there, i can't wait to see what this SP is capable of.. Will update pics of bud sites as they come.
Just an update

I will take pictures of buds forming as soon as I know how to work this camera properly.

Thought i'd update the thread. I'm at 12 days flowering and things are going a little slow... Which makes me wonder if what i have under my little 400 hps is to much (28 plants) they are only vegged small but I super cropped them early so I have quite a few shoots per plant. Should I be worried that at 12 days flowering I've only got a few pistils for each bud site? Should I also go through and take the smaller shoots off that aren't going to form into any colas as that is what i'm aiming for... This is what they're at today sorry for the crap quality pictures. I've got a digital camera but the things always going flat. If anyone would like more detailed pictures on the plants though just let me know.

the light might be a little bit too less. but i never super cropped to i dont know how it goes.
the buds probably still come out it depends on the strain you have.
you can take the smaller shoots off than more energy goes to the maine shoot you want get bigger.

Hey Siomha the idea of super cropping is to reduce the height of the plant and making it fill the pot out as much as possible using every bit of room I've got... I will go through and take small shoots off they will be good for cuttings as well.

The strain I have is supposed to be an all rounder. It clones up very easily (I have only mothered this plant never budded but have seen a mate budding it under 2 x 400w and they were impressive.)
