First Setup: What do you think?

This will be my first grow. I am legally allowed 6 plants, so thats what i will have at a maximum, but im thinking about just picking up 4 clones for the start.

The room was used as a "Fort" when i was little, sort of a treehouse, on the ground.
Built of 2x4's, and plywood, it has since been sealed for light and air using duct tape at all wood brakes.
It is an 8x8x8 Room, but i plan on only using an 8x4x8 foot part of it, to concentrate the light.

These are my materials:

I actually ordered from Hydro Fanatics, so it turned out a little cheaper.
I want to make sure that i have the plans correct.

This is the routing for the light correct:
Set carbon filter on ground, attach inline fan to that, attach ducting to the fan, which goes to the light that is hanging by pullies from the ceiling, then the tube running out of the light will be mounted to exhaust outside.

I'm worried about temperatures, is there a way to split the ducting before the light, and use it as a fan source and a light cooler? Would 2 moving fans do the job?

I've done about 3 weeks of researching though thi forum, and i hope i dont sound like too much of a noob.
Thanks again for your help,
Happy growing!

Also, i was under the impression that the way i setup the light was:
Filter attached to the intake side of fan, duct attached to exhaust, that goes to to one side of the light, and then duct from the other side of the light to an exhaust vent.
Is this wrong?
Is the filter only there to prevent smell?

That is some nice looking equipment you've got there. You could have gotten a cheaper electronic 600w with reflector, but thats allright. You want to connect up your gear like this:

Carbon scrubber======Light=======Fan===outside/other room/etc

That way you are filtering the air completely while it goes through you're light. The filter cleans the air of the skunky smells so you can grow safer. Good luck

how will i get air in the box then?
this is the supposed setup, based on another diagram in this forum, with some small modifications.

To get air into the box you need intake vents. That will allow fresh air in so the plants can use it then it will exit by way of the carbon scrubber and the fan.

So i went to the local growshop today, and got a few more things. First i got a SunMaster 600W MH conversion bulb, and a 4" ecoplus inline duct fan, as well as 4cu ft of Canna Earth Mix.
The guy suggested i cut out/drill a 4" hole in the ground since my room is about 6" off the ground, then just throw that fan in there, cover it with mosquito netting, and i'll be good to go.

Today i lined the walls with Coleman aluminum camping blankets, looks like it will definitely be reflecting more light now.

With this setup, and a 60 day veg 600W Mh/60 day flower 600W HPS, what sort of avg yield/plant should i be looking at?
Also, is a Fan Speed Controller necessary?

Hey, nice setup. I am using very similar gear, but less space.

Scrubber should be at top of space to suck out hottest air. A speed control may be necessary, those fans at full speed are quite loud and may be overkill.

You should also have a fan inside directed at the canopy to circulate fresh air to the plants themselves.

Yield depends on strain, grower prowess, environment, nutes etc. What strain are you growing? What are you looking for in a mj plant?

Growers strive for the respectable 1 gram/watt ratio. If you get half of that, that's almost 11 ounces. Is that enough? That's enough for me. :)

I plan on drilling out a 4" hole and using an ecoplus 4" inline duct fan, either low in a wall or through the floor since the building is 6" off the ground.
Would it be best to put it next to the filter on the ground, or opposite, so its drawing air across the plants? the only problem with that means that it will be near my exhaust.
also, im using an EcoPlus inline fan(the blue one) instead of a fantek, but i heard that its low quality and heats up super fast.
I'll be running it for 19 hours at a time, so it needs to be pretty solid. is this a concern?

looks like a great setup now it just the time and hard thats left and you should have a great show for us ill be looking foward to your grow

sounds like a great setup you're starting up! i think your fans will be fine running continuously for quite some time. i've no experience with those round inlines, but can vouch for the panasonic whisper inline booster fan as well as the stanley blowers. if you pay over $100 for a fan it should have some kind of a warranty in case something happens to it. you mentioned that this is in a "fort", most likely outside, like a shed. if this is the case, depending on it's location, you might be worried about the heat especially since summer is here. imo, it may be better to use the lights in this space during cooler seasons instead of now. another possibility is to make the roof like a greenhouse and use the sun.

So i got the boxes today: not low key at all. 1 was labled with a big picture of a carbon fan, another box with a big picture of an intake fan, and another that was just brown, but with the return sender named: Sunlight Supply...the UPS guy was saying whatever i'm filtering it better smell sweet, didnt know what to say tothat.

in this pic, you can see the 4" inline duct fan with a 30* angle on it, the light, filter, and fan.

Any suggestions there?

Also, the temps are a little high right now: 84 degrees, and about 60 humidity.
What can i do to lower that? will i just have to wait till cooler months? Should i just get an $90 5000btu AC unit? isnt that going to run me an extra $20/month?
The original solution was that little 4" fan(Which costs $50!), but thats not really working too swell.
I was also thinking about running that 4" fan 24/7, and have the light on from 4pm-10am, so that during hte hottest times of the day, the main light will be off?

lol ups guys ,,, but seriously that packaging sucks .. here its impossable to find out what you got coz the packaging is in a cardbard box .....

good luck with creating your grow chamber
