Haven't grown anything in about 12 years, due to a many a reason, thought i'd try my hand at a few this year, but again i just didn't have enough time to dedicate to it + hurt my knee in July & wasn't able to tend to most of the seedlings i had planted...Well i had 3 - Malawi x Santa Marta Colombian Gold (from a HG/420 member) & 1 Double Sour Diesel (fem seed made by Berry Coughin') that made it through the neglect of July. On August 1st i took these 4 plants to the forest to be planted (they ranged from 6-10 inches) & i litterally limped them to an allready augmented 2' x 3.5' hole (initially dug for 2 plants) where they've been surviving entirely on their on since.
In the whole is mushroom compost (from local plant), dolamite lime, black hen & about 20% of the sand that came out of the whole mixed back in.
So here they are 22 days later & at 4' tall, the Malawi x SMCG's being 100% sativa, as expected aren't even showing yet, where as the DSD is
And the DSD (fem) showing purple on a 100 degree summer day !
The DSD (fems) was started in May, i planted 10, only 3 germed, 2 died & this one was so stunted i almost killed it 3 or 4 times, kinda glad i didn't, thought it amazes me
that its almost as tall as the f1's (Malawi x SMCG, started 6, 6 germed, 2 died + i killed the runt) i started in July that were never stunted. Thinking about clipping off 3-4 bottom branches of the DSD to revege for later use in case it ends up being a winner in the flavor &/or potency department cause its definitely PURPLE !!!
