First organic grow

My girls were started from seeds about 8 weeks ago. They were started in 16 oz cups, the soil was ProMix. After a few weeks they were put into larger pots. The larger pots contained a mix of 60% Promix, 30% perlite, and 10 % worm castings. To that i added 2 TBS/gal lime, 1 TBS/gal blood meal. I was feeding them every 3 waterings, a tea consisting of 1/3 cup worm castings, 1/3 cup PSG, 1/3 cup N guano, and 5 tbs of molasis per 5 gallons of water. A few days ago i did a tea with some kelp in it also. Im about to switch over to flowering, just seeing what every one else thinks. I think that some of the lower leaves are starting to die off due to root ball, but im not sure. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

Hey Keger - I dont believe this is caused by the root's being locked up as that generally can easily be seen by how often you need to water...if you have to water the plant every 24hrs then it's time to transplant.

No, this to me appears to be the usual macro nutrient N.... older growth is usually affected first as the plant is pulling the N from the older leaves and using it to grow new ones. However, this doesnt jive with all of the stuff you're dumping in there.

Now there is one other explanation: It's older growth which could have been affected by earlier issues and is now just dying off due to lack of light, etc. I always have lower leaves turn yellow/brown when the plant is really exploding up up and away.

SO, I recommend:
1: Pull off the yellowing leaves and wait. If the yellowing returns you know this is a problem which is either pH related or Nute related.

I suspect it wont considering the rest of your plant looks amazing healthy.

I had an issue in the first 2 weeks where i was over watering. Alot of the leaves growing at that time became very weak. Maybe that is just those ones dieing off?

There ya go! I kinda was hoping that would be it especially since the rest of your plant looks perfect-o!

Once leaves get damaged like that in early growth, as the plant continues to prosper those older leaves wont regenerate but instead will be used as 'food', thus looking like yours do. Same situation as when they are flowered, the energy is used up to produce those glorious buds! :)

Hey Keger

I agree with the advice Klutter, gave you.
Did you compost that mix before using it, blood and bone mealls can comost a little hot?
Your feeding schedule looks fine, maybe a little hot but your feeding every 3rd which is a safe bet.
Having plants in bigger pots earlier on makes for a less fussy plant overall, don't wait until the rootball clumps the bottom of the pot, your mix sounds perfect and with all that perlite it's probably rootbound.

Well is started to flower my girls 4 days ago. Things are looking good so far. Looks like alot of females, all my new growth looks great. Most of my bottom leaves seem to be fading fast. It looks like a phosphorus deff, but im not sure. What do you think?
