First indoor SoG, Month into the grow, need a few things answered.

Hello. I have lurked for awhile, first time posting. This is my first indoor full grow, most of the time I germinate and veg for a month before going outside. I decided to go with a SoG because I don't like having all eggs in one basket with just a few plants. So several questions.

Current Grow: 2x 400w lights 4'x5.5' grow area Pro-Mix soil, 6"x6" pots Light schedule is on 10-14 to induce flowing will be switched back to 12-12 in 2-3 days. Feeding is through General Hydroponics.

1. What is the proper way to trim a plant for indoor SoG with very little to a max of 2 weeks of veg? With pictures if possible. I have searched the internet for hours at a time and can not and I mean can not find anything close a definitive answer. I am after single cola plants, but ok with 3 or 4 but one main cola.

2. Whats the ideal height for the lights to be away from the plants in a SoG, and the varying weeks?

3. Whats soils do you all recommend? This grow I am using Pro-Mix mycorrhizae and a week into the grow I had spider mites. But I had those all gone in 2 days.

4. And to just make this clear how do I make sure it is a single cola, not a bush a very little to no side branching.

5. I will probably ask more questions as the thread develops.

Just let her buck main goal of sog is utilizing main canopy , i suggest in another weeks time super crop all tops ..or top them all ..
Are you sure these are all females ?? On another note one there flipped and about second week in.
You could take them all out one by one trim up lower sites so that plant can use all its energy for top main bud production..

in most cases its just let them grow some training like i said above supercrop or even top allow a week or 2 of veg and flip to 12 /12
when doing sogs your usually only harvesting top half of plant lower buds sites are never done in turn is used for butter , hash or other medicines

They have been in flowering for 5 days now, but the second day in I left the room light on during dark cycle ( not the grow lights). Hey should all be females, I ordered all feminized seeds, never had a feminized from herbies turn male. I have already trimmed the first 3 or 4 node sites off if you look closely.

Also beside herbies what's a trustworthy site to order good seeds kinda on the cheap. Because as of right now I don't have the cloner and a few other things to have a mother and take clones. So the next two grows will be all from seed.

And what's a damn good strain for Sog with 17% plus?
