First IC grow: dinafems blue hash

High to all! Thanks for stopping by. New to the forums, been growing for a few years. As i only know what ive learned from trial and error, im really looking forward to learning from you guys. For the first time i had some germination problems, but luckily 2 out of 5 girlys survived. Also had a couple White Label White Rhino seeds, theyre ridiculously mutated. Not really sure whats going on with them. Have Mandalas Saduh on the way as well. I kept them under a couple 24w cfls for a few days then threw them under the 6oow hps(mh conv. bulb) with the cool tube. Its really workin wonders for the heat. Used you guys stanley mod to pull through it. However am kinda let down by the lack of footprint. You guys know of any thread that deals with that? couple of pics of the retard white rhinos, any clue whats going on there? Think theyre even worth keeping? I usually use molasses, but decided to see if botanicares sweet was any good. You guys seen any results with this stuff? Would really appreciate you guys input.

Sadhu beans came three days after ordering them, i threw them in a towel on a heating pad. all ten popped and were showing a tap root in about twenty four hours. put them in some ffof and placed the humidity dome under the metal halide. all of the seedlings are poking up out of the soil. some of them are light green/ a cramy white, whats all that about? something that needs to be corrected? will try to get a pic up here shortly.

soon as the sadhus are worth taking pics of ill get them up here. the two white rhino retards dont really seem to be straightening out, every leave has some sort of deformation, but is still healthy. wouldve yanked em a couple days ago, but every time i say something about it my girlfriend whines. we shall see.thanks for stoppin by.

well there just a little bit of an under achever my fiance is the same way but u never kno they could be your biggest prducers. I use ffof as well and i have a couple that are doing that as well. i think that the soil may be some what to blame. just hang tight.

mrpiston>> i hear ya. women sometimes.... so your keeping your retards? ever harvested any? never had this problem, been using ffof for a while. generally put seedlings in peat pellets for a weeks or so before soil. maybe thats where i messed up. been hearing bits and pieces in a few threads about how ffof isnt good for youngens.

The reason you Seedling are doing that is becoase FFOF is too hot for them right now and is really strong.I would start with a seed starting soil like Happy Frog or Light warrior.Then transplant into FFOF it is really good soil just not for starting seeds in.

Genetic mutations are not caused by fox farm ocean forest soil,if that were the case I've had sprouted hundreds of mutants considering ocean forest is all I've used on seedlings/new clones for years.It is not too "hot" and certainly wont cause a genetic mutation!

Ive heard both opinions, ffof hasnt done my seedlings wrong yet. hopefully this isnt the start. next grow ill go back to the peat pellets til theyre a few days old. i figure thats where i messed up. i appreciate you guys' input. what do you mean by hot? too many minerals?

they are all doin about the same, can see the new little branches rearing their heads, lst took hold in less than a day with them. probably throw em into flowerin about two weeks. cant wait to see how they bud, should be some nice colas, the nodes are already crushing each other. will probably see what i can do about crossing them with one of the sadhu males i know ill get. the two white rhino retards are still about the same. one of them appears to have a half ass normal set of leaves coming in. regardless i think im gonna leave them both, see what they get me. will get some more pics in a day or two, dont want you guys to feel like yourlooking at the same thing over and over again. thanks so much for all your input.

Its gets too warm and has lots of nutrients in it.I used to use FFOF for like garden plants and they are yellowing and there have been people saying recently there FFOF is killing or burning there seedlings.So i transplanted a sativa in some FFOF and it has fert burn already other than that FFOF is very good soil for any type of plants your wanting to grow.Just dont fert it for about a month and you should be ok im not an expert on growing but i have some knowledge there are lots of people around here that lmow way more than i do so you may want to here there posts too.

Ive heard this before. never had any problems with ffof, been using it for a long time. this is the first time i went directly to soil. after comparing my success rate to my failures with fox farm im afraid im gonna have to continue sweraing by ff. i never fert before the first three weeks, regardless of the plants age at transplant. theres alot of stuff to learn here at ic though, alot of these guys been doin thissince before we were born.

i use only FFOF soil never had any problems 2 yrs now yes FFOF is some great soil has enough nutes in there for 3wks easy before nutes could be introduced but. i introduce nutes when the qst set of 3 prong leaves come out, and only 1/2 strength. i even recycle the soil add bone/blood meals dolimite lime mix for few wks then plant's go back in the soil !! n/p yet. the only thing ive noticed with FFOF soil is it's best to let it dry to approx 20-25% moisture level before rewatering. otherwise your drowning your plant, also FFOF could use more perlite in it but i use it right from the bag after i mix it very well. even during planting i'll mix the soil up this helps from keeping hotspots forming !!.

can you tell which plants are in fresh soil and which are in recycled soil ???

Major>> too true, thats about how long ive used it. never tried adding ferts before three weeks though. perhaps i will try with my sadhus. always reused my soil, ive always just mixed half and half, but i generally stop reusing about four harvests later. never noticed any difference in the plants growth. maybe ill try completely recycling it next time. you get your meals and dolomite locally or online? been looking for a cheap place to get it online, as its notreally available locally. i have no clue which of thoses planet has recycled soil! which is which? the ladieslook good, what stain/strains are they?

Have notcied that two or three of my sadhu babies have three cotelydons, rather than two. ive seen this once or twice before, the plants have always turned out alright though, do you forsee this being any problem? mandalas strains have been nothing but stable for me before. ill try to get more pics up by tomorrow.

ok well, i need you guys help on optimizing grow space, and not wasting any of the space. my grow space is 4.5'w by 10'l by 6.5' feet high. i grow in soil, have dabbled in hydro a little. would like to eventually split the room into half soil/hydro. cant have too much wattage, dont need the rents noticing too big of a difference. i currently have one 600w hps in a cooltube. the lack of footprint kind of sucks, but im planning on getting another hps either 400 or 600w. will probably get the other light in about a month or so. what would you guys do if you had this much space? or if you have this much, whatre you doin that i should mimic?

sorry i havent updated you guys in quite some time. the babies have been exploding these last couple weeks. the two white rhino retards started showing balls at about 4 weeks old. at that point it was pretty much fine by me, was tired of them taking up space.the two dinafem blue hash are definitely girls though as they started showing preflowers shortly thereafter. lstd the hell out of em for a few weeks and started 12/12 on them yesterday. the sadhus are doing very well, had a slight problem working out their nutes, no real burn though. i tied them all down at about 3 weeks, and theyre all turning into little bushs as well. the sadhu trifoliate now has an insane amount of branching going on and its only about 4 inches tall. had one maybe two of the sadhus start showing what looks to be a male preflower, butnot quite sure. am gonna wait it out to make sure though. took several clones off the blue hash fems, probably shouldve waited til during flowering but couldnt help myself. i really need the practice. a couple of the clones took root in my little diy bubbler but after putting them in soil dont really seem to be doing much. will post pics later so you guys have a better idea of whats going on.

ok, sorry for the delay. im here, with pics and an update. the two blue hash girls have been in flower for about a week, the sadhus for about three days. ive noticed a little bit of stretch in the blue hash, not too much though. theyre monsters, about a 18 inches tall, and they have at least five or six main branches.









the sadhus i started lsting a little earlier just to see if i could get away with it. i bent them over as soon as they were tall enough to do so, and now they all have about three maybe four main branches, at about five inches tall. ive notice that some of the sadhu plants seem to like more ferts than others, is this cause of different phenos or? heres a few boys....





i have yet to yank em, always just like to make sure. as soon as i spotted what i thought was male preflowers i untied the plants and put them in the shadier part of my lights footprint....

they took root in my bubbler, then i put them in soil. havent really noticed any growth though. about how long is it usually before you can tell they are growing?

they seem to be doing well, theyre very very fragile plants though. and it seems like they grow about as slow as possible.so thats whats goin on in my garden at the moment..... i also just got a bunch of nutrients, was wondering if someone could help me out with a feeding schedule? what i have so far:
ff grow big, big bloom, and tiger bloom
maxicrop liquid seaweed
pure blend grow, bloom
gh koolbloom liquid
alaska morbloom made out of fish? 0-10-10 i think
seabird guano 13-12-2
earth juice catalyst

humboldts own purple maxx
botanicare sweet
and a jar o molasses
i dontreally know how to use these nutes in conjunction with each other, can someone please help a retard write a feeding schedule?
