Awesome IT WORKED!!!!

Ok I'm not gonna send all the pics through right away as I'm @ 46 days into flower, and it just seems like I should send out pics of the grow slowly until it's completely finished. IDK I feel like it would be more interesting that way xD (BTW they were 30 days grown from sprout before put into flower)

These Berry Whites i got about 3 days after I popped my WW seeds, and the WW seed had sprouted by the time these seeds popped.

I kept them under CFL's until the BW's sprouted.

These are the 2 of the 3 White Widows I planted! I won't give away how many of them were male and female :> :smokeit:

HA! I lied, it was 2 White Widow seeds I had left, the VERY LAST 2!

Guess what, 2 different Pheno's, BOTH FEMALE xD

Here is a pic of all the seedlings together...

And then I put them under the 1000W digilux bulb with Enhanced Blue spectrum.

Now as you can see that's a little overboard for such a small closet grow LOL!!! I dimmed the ballast to 50% so that it wasn't so hot.... still pretty hot though, and dry (I wish I could say the same for the present).

BTW the soil I'm using is Roots Organics original blend, and I threw some blood meal in ONE of the WW's with an interesting effect, more on that later though.

I used White Widow Micorrhizae inoculate with a little bit of Oregonism as well. I'm not convinced they help in a set up like mine. The roots organics soil is good soil, and I can't see much use for the fungi as the ecto's only work on coniferous plants (and cannabis is not, which renders Great White microbes just about USELESS for growing cannabis as it focuses almost primarily on Ecto, and not arbuscular Micorrhiza..... something the "White Widow" brand ONLY focus's on, and in such higher proportions than great white as to make great white look foolish, but again I'm not convinced it does much, I'm not convinced the microbes thrive in an environment such as an indoor potted garden, I see it workign better at building soil as a way to help the environment, I dont' see much application for cannabis, unless you were growing in fields).

i just ranted I think. LOL I'll end this reply here haha.

I find the pics turn out better if you take them with the HID turned off. Use the flash. Then you won't get that yellow/orange tint.

I agree. You gotta remember though, this was my first HID grow, and in fact I NOW know that 50% dim on this ballast is great and all, but it gives me a COMPLETELY different spectrum then @ full power, or even 75%. It's SOOO much more red.

@ 75% the bulb brightened so much (the first time I switched it higher than 50%) that I thought there was somethign wrong with it and it was gonna explode lol, but no.... these digilux bulbs have this "enhanced blue" and it's literally visible to the eye.

-@50% visibly dim as a mofuca, and red red red.
-@75% don't look at the bulb even for a split second lol It's now bright bluish red.
-@100% no visible change from 75% that I noticed

(strange right?)

Now!!! So I don't mislead anyone..... Dimming bulbs is BAD for the bulb, ESPECIALLY metal halide..... I'm using a High pressure sodium though :> so it's slightly less bad xD

More pix :artist:

and as I look at the next pics... it seems I felt the same way as you did at the same point in time xD

ALSO this is when you start to realize how unorthodox this grow is.

;)

This is gonna be fun I think xD

ok quick info on the pics.

Pic one was taken 6 days later (meaning the last post before this one with pics, was 6 days earlier)

pics 2-3-4 were taken 4 days after THAT.

In Pic 2 that is a Berry white, as you can see from the complete indica dominance! (later comes a pic from one of them with 13 leaflets)

It NEVER got a set of 5 leaves, it went straight from 1, then 3 then 7 then (not sure bout 9) 11 then 13

AND BTW THESE ARE ALL BAG SEED!!!!!

Pic 3 is one of the WW's.

If you're wondering about the two new sprouts there, they were Ryder seeds auto flower.... northern Lights...... I gave them away (auto-flower... ech, didn't realize at the time, I didn't have time or space for that project, unfortunately they died short time later after I gave them away).

Yeah, I wouldn't bother with dimming the bulbs. You want those plants to receive the maximum amount of light possible.

Your setup is probably already a lot less then optimum. No need to purposely withhold light from the plants.

Dude, you're new so I'm gonna break this to you gently. No one gives a shit about how many leaves it has. Under stress a perfectly great clone/plant is gonna spit out deformed leaves.

Give them the optimal environment and you'll get plants with lots of leaves!

Anyways, your plants look good and healthy. Give them maximum light and you'll get a nice harvest.

That was actually my point......

I was pointing out the lack of deformities....... and being SO healthy as to skip the 5 leaflet and jump right to the 7.... In a lot of cases people will keep getting three's.

You're right, under stress it will show deformities.

And to the light thing...... you do see the room I'm using right? I'm not gonna power up a 1000w bulb in a 2x2 space, THAT would be wasting light....

In fact right now I'm wasting light as I could get away with a 400w at full blast and proly do slightly better.

ALSO, 1000w uses a lot of electricity......

I wrote all that stuff about the bulb so people could get more information on dimming ballasts. And to add to that point, I believe it would be MUCH better for me to have a 400W at 100% than to have a 1000w at 50%.... All I have is a 1000w, and all I have is this small space... not much else to it.

Other people might not care about leaflets, but the cannabis plant is such unique traits for a C3, and also for a dicot it's extremely unique to other dicots.

I'm interested in the biology..... I'm sure there are plenty of people who give a shit actually. In fact I can think of a few reasons why one would and should give a shit ESPECIALLY concerning the absolute best health for an ANNUAL.

More pics xD

BTW that BW in the last photo... the second pic in the last post with pics I mean... I topped it there.... that day...

These pics are 15 days later than the last pics. The leaflet is 5 days after THAT (just to show it... 13 leaves. I think it's really cool just because it's really cool LOL let alone the implications. What a pheno I say! lol)

A million dollars to anyone who can figure out what is wrong with the bottom right most plant in the 4th picture in my previous post!

How do you "Find a post helpful"

I can't figure out how to do it for the life of me!

B

lol I found it I was looking where my points were and assumed it would be there lol.

I was looking for an icon, so I didn't even see the question LOL.

Time to switch the lights to 12/12

Wait till you see the 5 days stretch during transition, I was completely shocked.

This root ball in the first picture was the BOTTOM of a 3 gallon pot ONLY THREE DAYS AFTER I TRANSPLANTED FROM A 1 GALLON....

I didn't know roots were CAPABLE of that shit in only 3 days..... I expected to see some roots here and there after 3 days.. but THIS.....

BTW I transplanted the same day I switched the lights...... and I will do that from now on based on the results... they LOVED the new root space.... Next time thoguh it's gonna be 1 gallon to 5 gallon!

Now see the top view of the 3 plants? I'm gonna post what they look likei nthe SAME position LITERALLY ONLY 5 days later..... yes it's normal for healthy plants, but still it impressed the shit outta me considering I've only ever grown under CFL's or the sun... niether of which has such a dramatic transition. (Maybe under the sun, but it takes so much long to not really be noticeably impressive)

The next post will have the "5 days later" pic

Now out of the 3 BW's only 1 was males, and I went through a day or two of real depression cuz I thought every seed I had was male from the BW lol......

The ONLY one to be female was the ONLY one I topped... which turned otu to be a mistake.... I shoulda let it veg longer after topping but I let it go as long as the others I did NOT top, and the week of stress from that shows in it's size of flowers.

BOTH the WW's were female, and a good thing too because they were the last two seeds I had from a friend who gave them to me a while back. And I even got two different phenotypes! The next pic is is around 4 or 5 days after transplant AND switching the light from 18/6 to 12/12 the males have been removed, and all that remains are the females.

Luckily it didn't take more than 5 days to determine sex on every plant.

SHIT I DID IT AGAIN !!!! lol

I keep forgettign to hti upload when I browse the pics.
