First Grow, some setup/logistics/strain questions.

Hey all, been lurking for a while, gathering info and being inspired, and have finally decided t put together a DIY micro cab growing autos. I am figuring 4 plants.

It is a small cab, 16 inch by 16 inch and about 3 feet tall. I will be running CFL's 70-125W, in dirt, all natural, small fan to keep the air flowing. It is a really basic grow, to test the waters so to speak, and I had a few questions about the grow, but most specifically the strain of choice. Well here we go.

Is 4 plants too much for a cab that size? And will a 125 w CFL do the Job?

In a box this small, is LSTing a viable option? Or is the yeild impact too insignificant to make a difference.

Is staggering autos an issue? I'd like to stagger my plants so I can crop one, and have the next to crop a few weeks later. As long as they are in the same grow stage, and thus using the same light routine I figured this wouldn't be a problem.

I'll also be painting the innards white. Now, which white is the question. I figured glossy white generally reflects more light, but I see alot of people using flat white. Is there a difference?

Most importantly, as I am new to not only the auto game, but the grow game in general I need to choose a strain. Most AF's potency should rival or straight up demolish the stuff I get locally, so potency isn't too big a concern. I however would like to maximize my yield as much as possible. So I was hoping to get some suggestions on that that. I have everything I need around the house, just gotta choose, and put together the green for a few beans, but that choice is a tough one, especially with no prior strain experience.

Any other tips, suggestions or help is much appreciated. Note, I can't go any bigger on the box, and want to keep the grow as minimal as possible, so the CFL's atleast for the first run are there to stay.

Many thanks.

Moots.

For some reason I have always heard that the flat white is the best for painting. As far as picking a high yeilding strain that is just something you will have to look up.

Generally from what little bit of work and stuff I have done... if you can fit more CFLs in there and keep the temps right... then you should.

Watts do not matter as much as Lumens. and you want as many of those as you can get.

Unfortunately, the temperature here is an issue. My building has no AC, and we are in a record high summer, so its tough to keep any part of my place too cool, and thus more lights could increase the temps significantly.

As for researching strains, its by far what I have spent the most time reading up about I was flabergasted with how many there are. With the increasing number of auto's available, every one seems to have a different opinion on high yielders, I am just trying to find one that fits my cab height. Or if anyone has had particularly good results with certain strains. Blue Mystic was suggested to me as a good in the middle plant, tasty, potent and decent yields. Low smell I hear too.
