Hello Icmag,

Long long time lurker, back in the OG days, first real test of growing anything.

This is what I could find of the now defunct C13 cabinet its a Closetmaid something or other, cannot find it on there website, but has been at every home depot I have been at, 18" deep, 72" h x30" width If I recall correctly. I screwed up building it, i put 1 darkroom louver in before I had bucket dimensions and well couple inches shorter than the other..Damn impatience!

picture.php

Running a 250 Watt HPS enclosed ballast thus the ducting been debating tearing it apart and using a pyrex bake around/cool tube, 100% lightproof, running a 200 CFM Sunleaves Windtunnel with a Phresh filter carbon srubber. Temps are 5 degrees above ambient. 2 darkroom louvers, 4" exhaust running insulated 4" ducting

Currently have 2 plants in each 5 gallon bucket, these are bagseed as a test, checking environment just learning basics of the plant, and what to expect. I originally had 3 in each bucket, in the small rockwool slabs, I killed 2 playing with them to much, thus the bagseed test :) This is my first time all by myself growing anything from seed, I helped in the garden as a kid, but yah!

I plan on doing scrog and just doing 1 Snow White and 1 Northern Lights on seperate screens for my first grow, seeds are here (fem), just wanted to play with some bagseed first.

Current nute schedule is the KISS method here, 1 tsp Maxibloom per 1 gallon of water, currently 1/2ing that.

Biggest plant on the left, couple more pics in my gallery these were germed and planted in Rockwool 12 days ago, let it veg in humidity dome till roots were getting plugged up then planted them in 5 gallon buckets. I noticed the yellowing changed nutes/bucket out yesterday, been probably 24 hours since nute change.

1 question, PH level last nights was 5.6, tonight was 6.4 and 6.7...Meter was calibrated 2 nights ago, using 2 point calibration... Is it ok just to be adding PH Down? The buckets were just changed out last night about 24 hours ago, that much PH change in 24 hours is that normal??

Advice, questions, please ask :) Kinda grow log for myself

Damn! looks like a nice setup! You been doing some research!

I can't speak to DWC as I do Hempy's, so I'm not well versed in pH, but the first thing I think of when I see yellow leaves is to weak a solution. Maybe going the whole tsp/gal and keeping a close eye out for nute burn.

Thanks, been a dream for years and finally trying it :) The cabinet was about the closest I could find at Home Depot to the C13, since they now carry the Closet Maid line, I think squeezing anything besides a 250 in it, would be a little rough without mods wont fit more than 2 round 5 gallon's, I couldnt find 5 gallon squares I could squeeze 3 in either.

I did up the nutes to the full 1tsp/gallon, re-reading through the KISS method should be pretty much through entire grow. Im completely amazed at how fast these little buggers grow in hydro, I was not expecting that. Debating about trying Flora Nova bloom, mixing Maxi is a pain in the ass :)

Rockwool in dwc, the actual rockwool you want staying pretty much dry just the roots are getting wet/aerated? I have 2 big heavy airstones in each bucket, roots are getting big nice and white, water level below the rockwool, bottoms probably getting a little moist. Accidentally turned my air pump down to low, sure that was part of the problem with yellowing leaves, new ones coming in are pretty, now that the pump is back on High :)

Also how long should you really wait to top? I topped one a couple nights before those pictures and well it died, pretty sure I did it wait to soon, biggest plant is only about 3 1/4" above bucket.

I do plan going scrog since I dont have much room, thats kinda why doing my test run, learning the characteristics of the plant, how to trim, train top etc
