First Grow is in the jar!!

I had 2 Ice and 2 AI that I grew. The pics below are the 2 Ice except the last one of the jars which is the whole harvest for all 4 plants. Grown under 400W HPS in soil Fox Farm Grow Big, Tiger Bloom and Beastie Bloom. I chopped them after Day 66-68 of 12/12. I might have gone a few days longer but they were falling and lower branches breaking from weight of buds.

Buds have been curing now since June 26th or so. Both are one/two hit smoke. I put something less than .1 grams(my scales in pics below only goes to .1) and hit it twice and I'm there :sasmokin: I like the smell and taste of the Ice a bit more than the AI. But both are very good smoke, maybe taste better in time too. We'll see. Buds were really crusted with trichomes.

The four girls about a week before harvest.

Main colas I think you can read the scales in some pics. click on pics to blow them up

Ice #2 before trimming F***ing trimmin buds SUCKS. I couldn't do it for a living. That's for sure :joint:

After

Ice #4 before

After

Ice plants hanging

In the jar 7.5 oz for all 4. This doesn't include 6 grams from a branch that broke a day before I cut the plant and all the small buds I smoked near the end :sasmokin: I also have 100+ grams of really sugary trim for hash making. Not bad for a newbie IMO.

Newbies, listen up
This was my first grow...of cannabis. I was a little intimidated at first, thinking weed was somehow hard to grow. I think I read too much crap about growing before I just bought the f'ing seeds and planted them. You newbies should not be afraid. Trust me, I've been growing roses, like I cut the other day(below), a long time. Nice roses like the one I grew below are lots harder to grow than "weed".

So, my advice is KISS. Keep your grow simple. Forget doing anything fancy. Use BASIC nutes and use them sparingly. Make a GOOD soil. There are sticky notes for how to do that if you don't know. It is not hard. Learn to water properly. Watering correctly is absolutely critical to a sucessful grow. Good ventilation is also very important(and overlooked by many IMO from what I see on here). Concentrate of the fundamentals your first time. Forget yield!!!! Concentrate on growing nice HEALTHY plants, or plant if it's only one. Yield will be whatever it is...and it will be best if your plant is HEALTHY.

Good luck and God bless

that looks absolutely SICK. You said KISS...I wonder if you could give me some pointers or point me through the simplest walkthrough u read. I think i'm in the same boat because I've been researching it for about 2 years now and I've been planning to do every perfect lil thing possible when perhaps I shouold just man up and plant the seeds. ICE is actually what I wanted to grow first also....had some purple ICE and that was amazing...hoping ICE will be at least similar. Look forward to seein a smoke report soon

I'll be gone for the weekend. G/f and I are going to get up as high as we can in the mountains here and get away from the heat....then break out some of my stash, and really get high :sasmokin: ....and then :woohoo:

Back on Monday

The trim on these plants was really coated with trics. Hash making when I have time and get screens etc for dry sifting.

Yeah, nice job Oblidio 49. Cannabis is very easy to grow, it grows fast and strong. Yes keeping it simple is the key to a healthy harvest. Simplicity is the way to go.....
