Hello everyone!

My first post here.. hoping to get some questions answered.. :)

I've grown 4 times before, using 1000w HID lights, with great success - but that was about 10 years ago. I've only done soil before, and it's what I'm using now.. With the research I've done before I started, I discovered that LED lights are being used now, and went right for them. So far, they seem great - I bought these 3 lamps:

California Lightworks - Solar Storm 880
Advance spectrum 540w
BML -Spyder 1200 (have not received this one yet, but it's on the way)

The plants I have are Zeus and Super Silver Haze feminized.

I'm realizing that I didn't put enough dirt in their smart pots, (I'm thinking to go with the air pots next) All 3 have been put in these 5gl pots in the past couple weeks. What should I do, if anything, to give them more soil? Should I transplant into the air pots?

They have started to develop the colors you see in the pics in the past 2 weeks. I've just fed them fox farm grow big yesterday. From what I've researched it looks like nitrogen deficiency to me. They were all topped and cloned about 5 days ago.

Thank you for any and all help!

Even if they only have 4 gallons of soil in the 5 gallon pot you should be fine. Smart pots are good. No need to spend more on air pots.

Go to Fox Farms site and find the feeding schedule. Follow that exactly, week by week.

Since you are in soil you probably don't need to PH your nutes but it never hurts IMO.

The plants don't look too bad. Don't over think it. Just keep it simple.

I personally don't like LED for flowering but that shouldn't stop you from getting some good smoke.

Hope that helps. Let us know how its going.

Thank you for the reply. I'm following the instructions on the bottle for now. I will check out their site though!

I hadn't PH tested anything on my previous grows, but I'm reading it's more important than people realize. I don't know. i will try to keep my water w/ nutes as close to 6.2 as possible.

From what I've read, the new spydr light on the way, brings out a great yield with great quality. I'm keeping track of everything in a journal. I'll post it here down the road!
