Hey guys!
First off let me suck up and say I love this site, I really do.
Ok right now I'm on track to start my first grow.
Strain - Barney's Sweet Tooth(seeds)
Type of grow - indoor-soil, microgrow
Grow Space - Red_Greenery's 'Maid
Lighting - 6 x 23 Watt CFL's for vegging, 6 x 42 watt CFL's for flowering
Medium - Expert Garder's Prefect Mix "all purpose potting soil", Perlight, and Vermiculite
Nutes - Only nutes contained in the mix, but mix has fast and slow release nutes within. However I will pick more nutes up when the time comes.
Water - City water, good quality though. Will test with pH kits regularly.
Additional info - ScrOG, 18/6 light cycle for veg, 12/12 light cycle for flowering
With all that having been said, allow me to ask you guys a few questions if you don't mind.
I had planned to use Promix, but I couldn't find any pro-mix for the life of me. I 'm going to go look today, but I can't promise anything. Do you think the stuff I currently have will work? Or do you think that the 'fast acting' nutes will burn my seedlings to death?
I bought Sweet Tooth under the impression that it's definately better than bag seed and I was under the premise it would produce purple buds. The more and more I look at different grows of Sweet Tooth the more and more variation I see. I want to know if there are any specifics on how one could get purple buds to form on the plant, or if it happens to be a specifically bread trait that can only be obtained from certain vendors? Also if anybody wants to be my guest and tell me what they think of Sweet Tooth(Baney's more specifically) I'd love to hear it. Is Sweet Tooth even ScrOG'able or is there a more prefered method of growing them in a small space? Lasty how would one describe the smell of Sweet Tooth(for smell management)?
On a side note - The purple bud is a novelty for myself. I don't have to have one, but I think the purple makes the plant really pretty and stand-outish. I'm only growing for myself, so I really don't mind either way.
I'd love all recommendations and helpful hints to keep me going in the right direction.
I'm constantly reading on the boards and I'm always looking for more information to improve my knowledge base over my hobby.
Thanks all for chiming in! Wish me luck!
