Hey so I'm in week five of veg and I'm having a small gnat problem- not too many just a couple here in there but I've cut back on watering to remedy that. But just today I went to check and one of my biggest leaves has yellowing along the center of the leaf that wasn't there thismorning and some other tips are kinda crispy. What do you guys think? Will post pics in a second. Growing in soil, MG organic no slow release nutes and last nutes was 2 watering sago maybe five days to a week. It was MG all purpose at a little under half strength. I'm using that till I can afford better.

I actually have the Alaska brand on hand- but I read it's got more than trace elements in heavy metals like mercury....

So I stopped using it.

Do you reckon it's just nute deffeciency?

I don't know my ph. I don't have a tester for the soul but I do have ph testing kits from my fish tanks. I could test some runoff water. My tap's 8-8.5.

It could be ph, or overfert the gnat damage isn't helping.

Yeah test the runoff and see where you're at. Maybe flush and get some mosquito dunks if you haven't for those gnats.

I'll go ahead and test my ph when I'm a little better at walking in a couple hours- fucked up my ankle earlier, hurts like a bitch to walk rn. That test kit is across the house lol.

My soil is still pretty moist, and the plant seems to have an N deficiency to me. Pretty light colored, yellowing leaves in areas... When should I flush? Should I wait for it to fully dry out bc of the gnats? I'll see if I can't get a family member to get some dunks for me.

Is that MG organic with the water retention? I grew with that once it was terrible. If it were me I'd uppot it and repot into some fox farms ocean forest or other premium organic soil.

Your water is no good either at ph 8 and if it's tap water you should switch to ro, or collect rainwater. Your buds will smoke much better and you won't have to worry about ph.

Mosquito dunks will fix your gnat problem.

I can't get that where I am. And no it isn't the water retention one. I'm gonna try and find a better soil on the next grow for sure though.

I'd have so used foxfarms if I had the choice lol.

I have some phdown from my aquariums that I don't use ever. Could I fix my tap with that if/when I don't have access to the others?

On closer inspection after hooking some stems down some of the new growth is coming in a little curly. '
Not severely, mostly just warped, but isn't that a sign of nitrogen deficiency? Is it possible to have both nute burn and n deficiency at the same time?
