Depends how big you want them. I suggest you wait til they are at least at the 5th internode before transplanting to avoid stressing the seedlings too much.
I have grown In a 5 gallon pot before and you can get atleast a 5 foot plant you usually figure a foot a gallon but I have saw bigger in 5 gallons also. So your choice on the transplant if you want monster plants then transplant but if you want like a good 5 footer than 5 gallons would be fine. IMO
I grew out doors in five gallon buckets for years, they'll get you a 2-4 oz pretty easy, more if the plants can root into some wet earth and not be moved for the season, or if you half bury the pots. Nothing wrong with five gallons at all..but ofcourse the more soil the more bud.
