Hey guys. This is my first grow, i just really wanted to put my progress out there and see if anyone has any comments or advice to better my final product. At the moment, I'm 4 weeks and 5 days into flower of my bag seeds. I started with 4 but one was a male and the other was sharing a pot and i decided to clip the smaller of the 2. Here are some pics of progress.

Well, I started in small pots with Miracle Grow Soil then after doing research i switched to regular potting soil with Osmocote in the soil. It did wonders but using a time release product kinda screws you in the flowering stage. I need to drop N and raise everything else, but now since it's embedded in the soil, i have to raise P and K with the Osmo. still in there -_-

using time release right before going to flower aint optimum for sure...your end product wont be all it can be...IMHO...YEEHAW

go organic, build a living soil with compost and worm castings. Forget the ph, forget the nutes, forget the flushing, tweak your environment..temps, humidity and air flow, keep them constant in the goldie locks zone..minimizing stress to your plants throughout the whole grow will give best results. Dry your buds with care and cure for at least 1 month. good luck

I didn't use it before flowering, I used it after about 2 weeks of veg. I'm now severely regretting that decision because of the difficulty to balance nutes in flower -_- Did wonders in veg though!

Without mistakes you wouldn't learn shit! Lol. Best advice I can give you is anytime you have a question or am wondering something, read icmag!! The search engine here is gonna be your best grow friend for the next 5 years! Good luck in your newly found growing adventures.

First question is are yunz in safe states? Gotsta know your limits and ordinances. If you are in enemy territory proceed as advised soldiers. Just because its legal don't mean a municipality might wanna squeeze some thousands out of ya now before they can't do it no mo, dig?
Do you own your space , rent, how clean is your place, neighbors, crime, nosey people, nose land lords. These will decide you optimum tech fosho. Factor everything, stealth and budget might should could be dialed in first before strain bla bla bla.
Bag seed is good, work with what you got what's in you flavor and potency memory. Take clones and keep them going to become familiar with your material. Consider the impact of your tech to your personal wealth, like is it worth it? Compost EVERYTHING PUT NOTHING IN THE TRASH . Save your males period, smoke em on an empty paltr to test their kick, save pollen! Go R.O.L.S. and never look back.......oh and the environment, which should be right after law and budget. Does your products equal the destruction of pristine and delicate lands, species? How much you trying to crop out , line your pockets for retirement, meet some babes or bros, medicate? It all matters

Heya Fighter, hows the ladies doing?
any xtra tips for us first timers who are still researching

Hey guys! Sorry for the delay in updates. Good news, i've got a lot of information and questions! I'll be uploading pictures and more details tomorrow or later this week. My girls took a turn for the worst a couple weeks ago. I was adding a tablespoon or more of molasses to the gallon of water every watering until they started curling and dying! I immediately jumped to the molasses and figured a link to that and nitrogen toxicity, maybe underwatering. Being as it was week 8 i decided to start flushing and maybe the buds would form better. They're very underdeveloped but seem to be healing now. Again ill keep you updated with pics and more details soon!

Keep trying and learning 420Fighter! I am on my first grow as well and have been making plenty of mistakes but learning from them is key to a better grow next time. Hoping your plants get happier and get you some dank nugs!

I wouldn't do anything too drastic at this point. From the pics it looks like leaves are "clawing" and this usually means overwatering. Let the top inch of soil dry out before you water again. It's kind of late to do much other than give them light bloom nutes and water. I also keep a small fan in my tent blowing over the top of my pots to help dry out the top of soil. Keep doing what you have been doing to get them to this point and don't make big changes that could piss them off. Keep a close eye on the trichomes and harvest when they are cloudy and 20% or so turn amber colored.
I am a couple weeks behind you on my first grow and am having issues with nitrogen deficiency since the stretch. I have a lot to learn, especially about how and when to use nutes and my first plants have suffered because of it. Most important thing is to learn from mistakes and correct them for the next batch.
Be patent and stay on course and you will have some good nugs to smoke soon!

I was also considering over watering, but it's definitely not that. Clawing is a sign of that, but so is nitrogen toxicity. Since when i water, i wait 2-3 days in between and the soil is dry down to my first knuckle/the pot is light. I've got my watering down. I think, but im not sure, that when i started using MOLASSES (Tablespoon every watering[2-3 days]) I got a little overzealous and basically poisoned my girls :/
It's been 2 weeks since i stopped using molasses and have been flushing the shit out of my babies ever since. 2 days ago i went back to normal watering (30% runoff) versus flushing (90% runoff)
but since they were poisoned, or whatever happened to them, their bud growth slowed to an almost halt. I'm on week 11 of flower. I've stressed them out a few times being as it's my first grow ever. I'm waiting a few more weeks because A. The growth was stunted so i wanted to make up for that. and B. I'm harvesting later to get higher levels of CBD vs THC. I like the more mellow body/medicinal high.
Honestly, I just want someone to diagnose my girl and tell me what they thing the issue is.! If you look at previous pictures, they went from so perky and healthy to this https://www.icmag.com/ic/photo_popup.php?e=vB_Editor_001#:/

Yes overwatering or N tox is what I have seen on the leaf diagnosis charts that causes claw. Did you say that you were using soil with nutes in it already? If so than not a lot you can do about the nitrogen that I am aware of. As far as P and K you can add some but I doubt you should give too much. Keep giving water and go light on any additives and stay the course is what I would do. They were very happy in the older pics so you have to go back and see what changed. Was it soil, nutes, light, temps, ventilation? I keep a daily log so if things change I can look and see what I may have done differently and also so I can compare to future grows.
Don't get discouraged! Keep reading and learning.

I am only 6 weeks into my first grow so my help is limited to what I have read in poast sand articles. Maybe someone with some more experience can chime in and give this guy a hand.

The plants in the pictures are in perfect health!

1st time parent paranoia IMHO

Edit: ok I saw post #14 those plants are not well. But it's too late once you flip you can't go back, unlike veg which is more forgiving!

So what do you think the diagnoses of the later stage picture be, just for future reference.
