I've been reading here for some time and it's time for me to get to work. After contemplating for a while I purchased a 1k watt hps/magnetic ballast as well as a reflector. I currently am not rollin in the dough so I have a series of fans cooling off my light.

1,000 Watt HPS eye hortilux
Yieldmaster II supreme
Convertible Xtrasun Ballast
Air conditioner in the room

18/6 lighting schedule
LED panel on the way for cloning.

FFOF + FFLW mix since I started from seed.
Fox Farm Nutrients tri pack. Will be using Fox Farm solubles for flowering unless someone knows of something cheaper/better.

Here are some pic's of what I have going so far

I Re-uploaded some of the pictures after exiff stripping them, however I didn't feel like going through all the pictures and re-uploading them all because after looking at these pictures today there has been a lot of progress on the plants, and these pictures here aren't that up to date, will post more pics with my next update.

P.S. Blue mystics are starting to grow nicely, they are finishing week 1 in a few more days.

BlackJack 1

BlackJack 2

BlackJack 3

Snow White

BlackJack 1 is being LST

BlackJack 2 has been topped

BlackJack 3 has been struggling with some leaf curl and fel behind early on. I think it was because the soil was too hot, i didn't mix enough Light Warrior in w/the Ocean Forest. Also has leaf deformities and has had since sprout. The first set that is usually 3 leaves formed with 2 leaves and than 4 for the next node, etc. not all leaves are mutated but a decent amount look like one of the smaller leaves fused with the one next to it.

I topped some and am doing LST on the other because I am trying to find out which method works best for me as well as for these particular plants.

Questions, Comments, anything post it up, i'm open to any advice available.

Upload those pics here! A lot of folks won't click an off-site link on these forums for security reasons.

Sounds like you've got the equipment for a great grow. Didn't see you mention a scrubber, and that is not optional, in my opinion. Giant security risk.

Good luck!

Oh, and those look like camera generated file names. If you didn't run those thru an editor, the picture may have EXIF info encoded in them, including your GPS coordinates if the pics were taken with a smart phone.

Wipe those links out of your post, run your pics through an EXIF stripper at the very least, then upload them here so we can all see :D

The only damning info is it's a Sony CyberShot. No serial number to trace. Guy hasn't even set his clock (or the shot was taken New Year's Day, 2003)

However, NiteTiger makes excellent points! ImageShack will rat you out at the earliest opportunity. Added bonus to the use of an image editor is a "Save For Web" option. You'll be able to knock down the file size of your pic by as much as 75%. Faster loading for readers, more space in your album for pics.

Image Shack bad.... boo.....

Thank you for the info, I guess luckily this time it was not my camera being used it was a friends, however i still uploaded them. I will look around when I get a chance and fix the pictures than upload them to icmag when I can figure out how, I honestly haven't spent much time out of the growing section on these forums.

I do not have a carbon scrubber atm, and the plants are starting to smell, its week three now. I plan on making a carbon scrubber with the next paycheck as well as ordering or picking up some CO2

Good choice with the snow white, almost 3 weeks into flower now and the Snow White is starting to frost up.

Here's the Snow White above
and Blue Mystic below

The black jack is just now showing signs of flower almost 3 weeks under 12/12. hopefully it kicks some serious ass and outshines the others.

Snow white started flowering a few days before the other ones, however tripled in size during the stretch, topped when it was about a foot tall. Smelled up my apartment during veg while the blue mystic remained odorless pretty much.

2 of the Blackjack's were male, they were pulled, pollen saved from the healthiest looking one and a little put on one of the lower Snow White buds.

Carbon filter installed now and I can't smell anything when I'm outside the room. using a 400 cfm fan dialed down pulling through the filter.

I have a makeshift CO2 but hey, better than nothing right. Money is tight and i'm constantly getting new equipment every week or so.

I've been working late and slacking, I could actually get a lot better pictures if I were to be home during lights on, however I pretty much wake up, take care of the plants and head off to work 30 mins after lights on and don't get off work until lights are off. Which has definately slowed my ability to do work in the room as well as take better care of the plants.

Also, I took clones of each female early into flower, 5/6 survived which is not bad for a first time, using bubble cloner made from one of the threads here, works very well. I also used the wick method for one of the snow white clones before I got the bubbler made with the walmart water bottle ice cube trays. both worked, wick method took longer but rooted a healthy clone none the less.

I will post more pictures next day it rains, can't work in the rain.

How was your harvest?!?!

Bud shots please! :)

Budelight

Harvest was 8-10 ounces dried which over half of the total was from one Snow White plant. I did things very inefficient since it was my first grow, I'm already upgrading and making things a lot better and have aqcuired some clones from a friend as well as ordered new seeds online.

By far the best was a skunky Blue Mystic pheno. However the highest yielder was Snow White. Black Jack was rootbound I believe so it has been converted to hydro and the roots are nice and white now and it's growing bigger buds, before it just kinda stayed as it was and didn't grow at all.

Next run:
Blue Mystic pineapple pheno
Blue Mystic long trich pheno
AK Cherry Pheno
Sour Strawberry Kush
Jack Herrer
Snow White
Pakistani Chitral Kush
Sam SKunkman skunk/haze freebies
Blackjack is still in flowering

Will be doing 1k Vertical Scrog for my next run, still vegging atm will post pics after work.

Unfortunately the clones I got of the AK cherry, Jack Herrer, and SSK were unlabeled so I'll just have to sort them out later.

I will post bud shots tonight after work although most of it is gone I still have a few.

Sorry for poor quality, the only camera I had at the time was a cell phone. These were a few of the smaller tops I ended up getting from the snow white. It is covered in trichs which you can't see from the picture, the nugs are light and airy, however I get extremely stoned from it still after over a month of smoking it.

The only advice I can give is that my snow white didn't seem to like as much calcium as the others, however this could have been related to the specific pheno I got. going through round 2 soon will be able to dial it in a little more and give better advice.

let me know how that black jack turned out, its one strain that im thinking about buying

the blackjack has been a nightmare. It started off strong, than I ended up getting 3/4 males and the one female I had was either root bound which stunted flowering or just not that good at all. I heard extremely good reviews about blackjack from friends before I bought this pack of beans however I guess I only sprouted 4 seeds so there is an extremely small chance I got the same pheno as them.

Long story short the blackjack is still in flowering, and now that I've moved her under flourescents and converted her from soil to hydro she seems to be doing better. underneath the 1k her leaves drooped downward always and under the flouro's the leaves are actually going straight outward instead of drooping and I can now see flowers all over inside.

The nodes on the blackjack plant are about 1/2 inch apart from eachother so I'm hoping it flowers out fully and ends up making me happy I bought the beans otherwise it will be the last time in the flower room for it.

I'm not sure, it smelled like pineapples from a can. I haven't had C99 yet to compare it too. However it wasn't that potent so the only reason I've kept it is to breed out further down the line once I get more set up.

Great first grow, cant wait to see how you tweak things for next time. How did the Snow White taste, i grew it and it was very similar to the Snowdog clone in flavour.
Thanks for sharing, peace.
