First Experiment/Grow Ultra Lemon Haze, feedback appreciated!

Hi guys,

Total noob to theforum and growing, so bare with me!

I took the step to experiment growing myself after smoking for so long and aquiring my self one of those late night payday splurges being a single feminised Ultra Lemon Haze Auto.

Literally went out and got myself some potting mix, perlite and a 10 inch pot. Germinatedc my seed as Id researched, planted a few days later and put it on the windowsill (Im in a tower block so higher up and on an ok English day get the direct Sunlight from about 1pm til dusk) with the thought of "that'll be sweet if it works...

Started growing nicely but was quite stretched obviously from jus being on a window sill. Everythings good. Got to 46 cm tall , pistols on a few areas and was too big for the sill. So I had a small upgrade from experiment to 'this might actually do something' grow.

My single plant is now in a cupboard with 3 23watt Spiral CFLs and a little usb fan just for basic air circulation with my lights on 16\8 due to funds for electric. Iknow thats probably bottom end of what I need lighting wise but Ive done alot of research to try not to sound like such a noob, and seen alot of great results. The cupboard is slightly vented aswell. Been adding just tomato feed with water thats been out for 24 hours to rid the chlorine.

We're now on day 83, just over a week into just cfl lights with small bud sites, resin covered leaves support and white with a very small amount of amber hairs, sticky to touch and the sweetest citrusy grapefruity smell on the fingers and I just want to see if anyone could help me out with any advice? Does it look as if the bud sites will grow more or if its stunted itself? Its all new territory for me! I know it was going to take longer, a) having it on the sill for so long and b) being a strain that should take 90 til harvest so could just be taking longer. The lights are working as that last couple of days, new shoots have shot out where I took off the first two sets of water leaves.

Ill add some pics...

This is about 28 days.

This was about 70 days at the window, then moved the cfls...

Here is where we are at now day 83….

They're the new shoots that have cropped up in the last few days...

Im now quite baked and this was a right task especially typing on my tab. If I've missed anything just ask,

Looking foward to some feedback, will she growwwww???

Peace out for now

You're going to have very airy buds. You should at least invest in a feliz 2700k 150w fluoro. It would increase your yield significantly. It can be run on a normal power wire. You just need to wire it yourself with a porcelain socket.

Thanks for the reply! Ive had a look and theres some kits the reflectrs for about £40 so not bad at all. Being on pre paid electric is my downfall so now to work out the cost. I guess not alot more than I am now.

Although shes now got a couple of little brown edges up top. Guessing lights too low or some kind of deficiency. I dont think I over water her. Its only on tips of a couple of fan leaves.

If i get one or two smokes in the end Ill be happy. If not the smell is nice enough!

I do have 2 more seeds waiting so may invest in new lighting. I got A Kushy Little Auto and an Auto Blueberry

Well, we're on day 101. Looking ok at the moment. But still no real idea of when it'll be ready to crop. Brown tips didn't really escalate, a few leaves have the smallest decolouration at the tips.

Alot more bud sights, take note of the little shoots I pointed out a couple of weeks ago... Hopefully will get something from it. As you say, buds looking airy but I think Ill end up with a little more than I thought Id get with this first time budget grow.

The top buds started to look ready but have now had another batch of white pistols.

Upgrading to a 150w 2700k cfl next time round with a couple of bulbs for side lighting if needs be.

Just an update really. Day 109 and I've harvested half the plant. The bottom half couldnt get enough light due to fan leaves and distance so I thought Id test this out and see if carrying on produces some fatter buds at the bottom?

I got more than I set out to so Im happy. Now onto drying and curing.

One small bud fell off whe trimming so had to try out a quick dry method which worked out nicely and had an early taster. Even though there was that 'greeny' taste, the taste of the Ultra Lemon Haze still shone through. When properly dried I have some 'high' hopes..... Sorry.

Here's some pics, even though I don't really know anyone that looks at this...

Looks good to me, cant expect much with 70 days on a windowsill really. Turned out better than I figured it would! Congratz
