First Auto grow! Soil or hydro

So I have a hydro set up right now. And i really wanna try Auto grow. But im not sure if hydro would be best way to go. I have never grown soil before!! But I wanna do like 5 autos in this grow, any suggestions input?

If I decide to go soil any ideas how I should go about it?

Buy a good soil or look for DYI soil mix recipes here. You don't need to be extravant on materials. Years ago we used equal amounts of sand, bagged maure and perlite....that allowed for adding nutrients when needed. Works like a charm!

Hydro, as you know, takes a lot of monitoring.

A good organic soil (always adding a little extra perlite and mycorrhizae) is recommended. If you have a good mix, doubtful (other than overwatering and pests) you will have any problems. Plop, water, go!

We find it good as it allows us not to check plants daily (although great to watch growth/budding)....meaning if you need to be away a few days, no problem.

Heya waterlab, you can absolutely grow autos in any hydro or soil medium. If you are comfortable with hydro and have the equipment, then go for it.
