First attempt to SCROG - 150hps - Mystery Mix

Hi all,
I have been an almost exclusively auto grower for the past three years. Now that I have growing experience under my belt, I want to start playing around with different genetics. Due to the limited genetic field of autos, I am ready to make the switch to photoperiod stains.

I am currently working with a clone of a mystery mix freebie. I have taken several clones from it, topped it and it is one stretchy plant!

Considering its branchy structure, I would like to attempt to SCROG this plant. This will be my first attempt Scrogging a plant.

I will be using a 150hps, a common 4-tier mini greenhouse (Like this one) that measures 19" by 27", a mix of recycled FFOF and new Promix BX, and Maxibloom KISS method.

Here are a bunch of pictures for your review.

Any tips/suggestions/comments/criticisms will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks Community! :tiphat:

Wow talk about training a plant!
I'm no scrog expert, but that looks a bit extreme there.
You sure she's ok?
I would probably raise the screen and let her up a bit?

No idea. Just tossed a screen on top of her. I use maxibloom, which I hear is low in silica. The branches are very thin and extremely pliable.

She has been a resilient plant so far. I hope she takes well to the change. Its only been a few hours!

Dang-that's one way ta go about it. lol As long as no snaps heard ya should be golden.
You should raise a couple inches so you can defoliate the under canopy.
Better growth and you want air flow under the canopy. Don't want mold / bugs, you cant see...

Great setup... SubD +Rep....

i like the fact you simply used one of those mini greenhouses as the screen. looks good, if a little extreme. plants can take a fair beating and still come out strong, so i think you should be ok.

Thanks everyone. I've found cannabis to be tremendously forgiving and resilient. The branches are all soft and green, very pliable and thin. This could be due to the lack of silica in maxibloom. Who knows. I think she will recover nicely. I will post a picture tomorrow to show any progress.

Thanks everybody!

Looks perfect. Like alien says, raise it up just a tiny bit, not necessarily for the plants sake, more so you can get your hands in there and trim when you need to.
I find it pretty handy to trim away as much as possible when using a small light like that.

Doesn't look like you'll need to veg for much longer either, the screen keeps filling up considerably even after the flip
