Firecrackers, Cannabutter & Cookies question

Hi:

So, I made-up some firecrackers, which are amazing :abduct:, but stink-up the house when you bake them. By the way, I haven't noticed any difference between using (organic) peanut butter or Nutella. My favorites, taste-wise, are made with Cinnamon Graham Crackers & Nutella - taste great & get the job done for sure!

I also made a pound (well, 3/4 pound finished product) of cannabutter, which looks great, but REALLY stunk-up the house when I made it.

OK - Now my question; when I cook with the cannabutter (I'm thinking oatmeal/raisin cookies), will they stink-up the house as well - will there be any "abnormal" smells to speak of?

Short answer is no, you're fine. A goodly proportion of what you smelled when you cooked the butter were compounds off gassing from the leaf/bud/butter mix. They're gone and won't return. Your butter if it's poorly cleaned will probably have quite a bit of smell to it, but not enough to cause a batch of cookies to nuke the kitchen smell wise.

Also, lately we made up a batch of peanut oil, bought some adams original, replaced the oil on top with the special peanut oil and mixed it up. Makes great PB&J's.

For whatever it's worth, I whipped-up a batch of oatmeal raisin cookies using cannabutter - there was a slight canna-odor, but really not too bad.

I used an ounce of older White Widow for my pound of butter - one small cookie, and I'm toast! Took about an hour to kick-in, but man-o-man did it kick-in!!!
