fire sprinklers

So i moved into a new place, I noticed that the closet I am going to be growing in has these fire sprinklers in them. 1 per room. I am a bit worried about having my grow in there if high temps could set it off. I will have a AC unit cooling the closet( its a big walk in closet).

I read the wiki entry: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fire_sprinkler . the way my AC unit works, i have to empty it every so often. Sometimes during very hot days when high humidity it needs to be emptied every 4 hours. Sometimes im not around for it. so it kicks into fan mode and stops cooling. Temps hit ~95-100 after it sits for a while.

I am almost positive the sprinkler I have has a red bulb, That wiki entry says 100 F ceiling temp, then rating 130-170. what does that mean? does anyone have knowledge with these things? I really dont want to set off sprinklers in my grow room, especially if it turns on some sort of alarm. Any fellow growers run into similiar issues with sprinklers? I am thinking there is no way 100 degrees could set off a sprinkler. because where I live, if power goes out. and its a hot day in the summer, house temps could easily hit 90-95 degrees.

heres a picture of one of them. ive been reading the past few hours about it, to be safe. can anyone confirm my belief that its 155 fahrenheit bulb? i just want to be double sure.

That head is probably rated at 165 degrees. I wouldn't mount the light right below it. Nothing should be below it for at least 18". The ceiling temp is for location purposes only. You wouldn't use a ceiling temp of 100 degrees in an attic. The sun heats the attic ceiling to way more than 100 degrees. Just don't break the glass while working in there. That should be a bigger concern. The fire department will show up if the glass breaks in the head along with massive amounts of stinky smelly nasty water.

can you give some info on your ac. can you modify it to fill a bucket or a rubber maid tub? i can't imagine it being more than 5-10 gal's a day at the most.
seems to me if you can keep the ac running you won't have to worry about the sprinklers.
it may not be the case though, i dunno.

thanks for the input guys, the AC unit probably only does about 3-4 gallons of water a day. it can drip into a rubbermaid tub or similiar using a garden hose. Would I use a water pump after that to drip it into a bathtub or sink?

as for the sprinkler, I think i will put a plastic box around it and seal it up most likely. Luckily the sprinler is near the entrance to the closet. I have a good 9-10 feet walking distance ahead of it so I can keep the light back there.

a pump will work if thats all you can do. or maybe hook the hose to the drain line under the sink(or any drain line available) and you would'nt have to empty anything at all.
either way you should keep the ac running and keep the temps down if you can.
