like the title says .... Had a issue that made it necessary to chop a plant 1 wk before I wanted .... she's done... I just like to go further ....

So I used large bypass cutters and cut the entire plant from the direct root ball... leaving everything plant-wise attached to the stem....
and placed in a bucket of water half full....

so the buds only draw water over the next week...

will this work?, what will be the outcome?...

anybody w/ experience down this road .....

what about a flowering plant 6wks in..... being transplanted FROM dirt...leaving the rootball.... BUT placing in water and finishing in a FauxHydro type water bath....

would it work?????

got a few issues ahead of my .....

I've kept plants alive for 3 days with that method. Cut plant at base, set in a 5 gal. pail with 3" of water in a room with no air circulation. Really comes in handy when I need to chop in order to re-plant, but have to much to trim in a single sitting. That way the chopped stuff doesn't wilt, and I don't have to wait until it's dry to trim.

In theory it should/could work. Kind of like with an X-mas tree and how you place it in a holder that has a well for water, and "watering" it keeps it alive, longer.

That now gives me an idea for X-mas around here some year, an X-mas pot plant.
