Finaly, I'm 95% done!

I almost finished my NGB style box and I have pics:
Inside:
my.php

utility room:
my.php

It's cooled with 1 92mm PC fan that's inside the hood, and 2 120mm fans inside elecrtic box. Veg room is cooled with one 60 mm exhaust fan connected to the utility room.
I still have to check the temps out, but so far the only problem I have is the fan noise.
Don't get me wrong, there's no buzzing or anything but the sound of air blowing out of the box is pretty strong and I think it's partly because it echoes in the utility room. I have to think of something if I'm going to keep it in my room.
Any comments are wellcome.

Nice vlad. I cannot wait until the day I too have a NGB style box. Good luck. It looks like you did your homework and it is about to pay off. Keep us all posted on how things grow, I mean go, haha.

Well crafted box there! I too one day hope to have something setup up for such a perpetual cycle.

If you really think that its sound echoing around inside the util box try putting some padding on the walls, you know, like they do in sound recording booths.

looking good so far but still think you will need a bigger fan and may be some more instake holes in the flowing room but so far its looking good and where did nyou find the timer at and does it do 2 lights at once? and is your light a 150 hps or is it bigger?

High, Steve. It's a 150 HPS. In my original plan I actually wanted to make 6 intakes in the flower room, but got lazy once I made 4. So far I get temps between 26 and 32 Celsius (4 to 10 degrees above room temperature), depending on where I leve the thermometer (it's a digatal black colored plastic thermometer so it's not reliable when in direct light)
Timer can actually do 3 elements at once, got it in Chipoteka which is something like your Radio Shack, I guess.

Congrats on the awesome setup! I don't have much advice about noise reduction at the moment, but your setup still looks awesome none the less!
Can't wait to see whatcha grow in there! :D

Looks good, Vlad! I'd agree with more intakes. Ideally you want about double the intake area as the output. I got mine up on legs, then vent out of the bottom, like this:

I throw a light baffle (small platform on little legs) on top.

You've got just that one little intake I see in the pic?

No, there are 4 intakes in the flower room and one in the veg, as they are vented separately. you just can't see all of the vents because of the other shit that's in the box in that pic.

If your capable, I would really suggest drawer slides on the floor. Particularly in the veg side anyway. It can be a pain in the ass to take care of the plants in it. Also, then you can make holes in the floor for intake which is nice.

To address your noise, I would consider the following with your setup;
1 - How are the fans attached? Make sure that they aren't in direct contact with the wood on the cabinet. The vibrations will transfer and then be amplified. If thats the case, you might try putting some foam in between them and the wood.

2 - If it truly is echo (which sounds strange in this case - i'm kind of doubting that), but if it is - I might recommend using auto sound dampener. It would be pricey - say $30 to get enough to insulate the utility room, but if you lined the utility room with it that should take care of it.

Also - make sure and do some test runs all day and maybe get a better digi-thermometer. You want to put it where the tops of your plants will be and not in direct light - that will give you the most accurate reading.

I hope that helps! Good luck - be safe - and happy growing!

Thanks, DP, I'm gonna test the hell out of that box this weekend because I finaly got those A11 f2 seeds. If noise continues to be an issue I guess I'll just have to move the box to the balcony. I'm not too fond of that because it can get pretty cold in the winter here.

I would try to avoid that if you can. I have the vortech 175cfm fan and my cab is almost silent. However the fan is HUGE and takes up TONS of headroom in the flowering quarters :( But in anycase it's very quiet and moves a LOT of air.

I've found a way to keep the noise down a bit. I took the exhaust fan off the back wall of the utility room, hung it on a piece of string and connected it with the axhaust hole with ducting. The nose level is now lower then my computer. It's not completely silent but I could live with it. Still have to play with teperatures though. It gets about 6-7 degrees C above room temp, but I made some modifications on the hood so more tests have to be done.

OK, i've given up on trying to find hydro nutrient mix in this nick of woods, as well as suitable bucket for SWC.
I'm gonna make my own bucket out of plexiglass (i've built tanks out of it before, so it's no problem), but those nutes...
Can I mix my own, and can someone hook me up with a recipe?
