Finally got my new guitar

and I'm over the moon with it
I've had my eye on this for about 6 months now since it was released as a limited edition in Japan
it finally made its way into the Uk in limited numbers a few months back
the first time I tried to buy it the shop had sold them all within days of getting them
but I tracked one down last week and had them hold it for my and I picked it up today

Inital impressions are I'm going to love this guitar, I didn't bother test playing it as I already have two other models
from the same series and plan on two more in the future
Action is a little high but I'll solve that easily by dropping the string guage down from the current 12 - 54's D'Addario's
to my normal 10 - 46 Elixir Nanoweb electrics, yes electric strings work great on acoustic guitars
Esp light guage, I learned this from Dave gilmour who uses ernie ball slinkys on his acoustic's

anyway I doubt I'll need to touch the bridge and the neck is perfect
as I havn't played for over 10 days I decided to leave the D'addario's for now to get my fingers toughened up
and get my hand used to a slightly wider neck than my other acoustic I normally play
but so far I'm having fun with it, fluffing a few notes as I find my way around the fretboard
but getting there pity I need to get back to work  but at least I can look forward to a couple of nights and then a good weekend getting used to playing it

anyway here she is (all my guitars are female, the need a tender touch and treated with love and respect)

the Ibanez EW 35 QME TBC

Nice gear Pink! I've seen you tearing it up on Youtube also bro....
You should redact those things and make sort of "tutorials" where you step through the chord progressions....I think you'd make an excellent teacher.
God knows I'm always looking to pick up a new song without a hassle.
Anyways....good luck with that new guitar bro. I know you'll put it to good use.

chouces

chouces

there was another one in the shop with a lot more black in it which I did really like
but I thought this one fits in better with my current guitar
and the one I bought my son for his bithday a couple of years back
the one at the front is the one I normally play its a small body and more mellow
than the EW 30 (back) and the EW 35 (new, same size as the 30)

I have always LOVED those natural finished ibanez acoustics. They seem to have that "exotic" look about them that makes them really stand apart.

Nice guitar mate.

I recently sold my ibanez :(
RG 570, jap made with a ultra wizard prestige neck :[
I put some seymour duncans in it too :( (replaced stock V7/V8)
Needed the money, else would've never sold it.

Nice to hear you run a home studio. I'm in the business my self.
What are you using as as soundcard btw ?
What DAW ? :p

ps: I've always hated D'addarios for their dandruff.

Killer looking guitar old pink.hope you get years of pleasure out of it....I have an ibanez acoustic, too..damn inlay dot popped out on it...but still a decent guitar..it gathers dust though...I always grab the electric, I am getting old, have weak hands and a bit of arthritis...so my acoustic days are about over...peace
