I Care

I was brought to this community today while looking up results for the heavily aka’d ChemDawg and Girl Scout Cookies. The thread started by Cream47 in February of 2016 is one of the returns google gave to me when I was searching for anyone anywhere calling this cross ChemGirl yet. I have read Gypsy’s Hello… Good Evening and Welcome post and I appreciate the story. This story reminds me of someone that I know, who was my greatest mentor and mentor who trusted to enlighten me with their effort and knowledge of growing underground when I was a teenager.
Here’s my own personal experience growing.
Planted a nickel bag seed, grew it in a file drawer in my desk as a teenager. My father found it, worried to lose the house and my mother being pissed. He got rid of it and only expressed that it was criminal and that the risk is too great.
Next I was given a stretched seedling from someone I knew. So I hid it outside in the shade; and whether or not my father saw this one, it was left to grow. An enormous yield of maybe 4 grams premature flower that my friend and I planned to share.
Then through long term friendship, one of my more well behaved friends from early years had an older half brother that was(to say the least) not so well behaved growing up. We re-connected at CC and I was well interested in indoor high grade by this time. There was already more than a decade of trust established between us and I kinda never ratted him out about anything when we were kids. So he brought be into his home and he basically started explaining everything he was doing with a cross that he called Bubba Kush/Deep Chunk. I had smoked hydro before, the GD, the Mango Kush, the Jack Herrer, etc, including some of the stickiest shit that my buddy used to pinch off his dad( that I swear is the strain listed as “Plum” in the CB3). Ok, but what my buddies WAF older brother was doing was better than anything I had ever had on the east coast.

Third time is the charm! So I was sharing a split floor plan home between my chick, my good friend and his fiancé. The chick I had at the time got her own place, my friend’s brother and their(still) girl moved in so we traded sides of the house because of space. And when we’re moving our rooms around I notice these 5 ultra-sad cuttings in plastic cups under a 5gal aquarium light in an actually really well crafted closet that they put together. I went to home improvement store and got two domes, two splitters and 4cfl bulbs, peat moss soil, pearlite, Bonnie’s 8-4-4 and started veg. My buddies WAF older brother and I would still smoke all the time and when he came over he said he was going to get his stuff out of storage for me to use. I grew too tall, had to drop out the flood tray, carry them to the shower one by one every day. But using Bio Canna, PK13/14 and Molasses under 1000w HPS I was allowed to borrow I got an amazing result that received compliments from anyone who was coming around the house at the time. This stuff stunk, it was some Sour D cross that someone has been working on for some time. Thanks to accessible knowledge and genetics I had a very rewarding grow. But now this time it was my whole block that stunk for weeks. Work was to blush my only hobby.
Current.,
I moved to a legal US state, found a well recommended recreational cannabis shop. Went in a couple times for flower, saw this one rooted clone and started touching it. The sweet heart at the counter looks at me, tells me they don’t want customers touch them.. so I bought this one of a few dozen that I had found so irresistible. The name GMO.. hmm no clue but this thing looked indica dominant also really manageable. That was June, I bought strawberry fields, grow big, 600c pot and used Flo tube lights I had immediate access to.
Now I know what GMO is, again why I am here. I have been just about as well prepared for this gardening adventure as any other. Got given a sun systems hood, bulb and ballast 1kw (running 600). I’ve saved ,my, C2s. Now I’m in the first days running a timer. Trellis went on only a week ago. Aside from the Lighthouse, this is as crazy budget friendly as I can possibly get to provide myself with some entertainment going into winter. Look forward to having my recreational allowance and trying outdoor next year.
For your harsh criticisms, compliments and entertainment; I have provided a photograph. To all the people in the northern hemisphere hope you’re having a happy harvest and, for fellows in the US, a good thanksgiving.
