i have a friend who's licensed electrician and who happens to be a mmj card holder and I've helped him with his plants and gettin going but a small scale deal.

now im ready to do up my shed i need to figure out what rout to do this and hoping the ic fambam can help.

i have a cap mlc4 box to run 4 lights id like to hook up to eventually run 4k but i have 3 now.

Sorry for the post I lost my phone and don't have a computer and this backup phone sucks.

That's about all of what I plan to run,my buddy says we can get 30amps of 220 to the room but I'm not sure 30amps will suffice. The next step would be to upgrade the main box to a larger one to allow more amps, then again I'm no electrician.

Do the math. A 30A circuit will deliver 6600W at 220V, 7200W at 240V. Don't use more than 80% of that, so make it 5300-5700 watts. You may be OK at 30A.

The information you need is on the equip ID tags. Add it up.

If you want to build your way into it progressively, you could set a 60 amp subpanel at the shed and feed it with #6 wire (good for 60 amps if the shed is within a reasonable distance from the main). Then change out the main breaker in the sub to a 30a and feed it with a 30a at the main. This will keep you within your existing limits, and if you decide that you need more later and you get the main panel upgraded, you can then upgrade by simply changing out the two breakers to 60a units.

Excellent.
