Fertilizers 4 Outdoor Gardens

:canabis: I have 10 varieties vegging now inside for my outdoor guerilla plots. The strains I will be using are Bogglegum,BlueMoonRocks,BlueThunder,Lifesaver,LSD,Grapefruit,Blue Nepalese,MorningGlory,Superskunk x Bubblegum, and Gypsys magical mystery mix.Does anyone have suggestions for an easy to use fertilizer that could be used as a top dressing and washed into the soil by rainfall? We usually have plenty of rain here, ocassionally a late season drought though.I just don't want to have to try to sneak water to my patches as there will only be 2 to 5 plants per patch, but a LOT of patches.I plan to rework the soil in the patches that go undiscovered by adding organics this fall so that feeding isn't so much of an issue next year. Any suggestions that might help my grow are welcome. Peace  :smoweed:

both blood and bone meal can be dressed into the soil. i have also seen the heavy harvest ferts from A.N. that can be dressed on the soil, but must be done 3 times a season.

hope this helps

I'm going with an organic mix, blood and bone meal and the occasional Peters 20-20-20 fert. I'll switch to a bloom booster later on at the beginning and the middle of flowering. Mother Nature will do the flushing for me when it's time....

Blood and bone meal will attract animals. But if you place a dozen or so moth balls around the area you should be ok..happy growing

MetaNaturals

MetaNaturals

Chodo, I went to the MetaNaturals website. I am curious. The website is not very informative about anything other than contents and price. Which of the four products do you use? What are the application rates? I would not want to be stalking around the woods with a five gallon bucket. I noticed that stuff is a byproduct of mulching. Will it attract animals? As much as I would like my outdoor grow to be organic I think I may have to go with a chemical fert: deer, elk, skunks, racoons, bears, mountain lions, oh my!

mix chicken manure with some lime to the soil, it will take care of thier veg, then give them Alaska Fish fertilzer 0-10-10 in flowering just as it says on the bottle and look forward to super tasty bud.

Ferts

Ferts

Thanks for the info. I think I may add some lime and top dress guano. I am still nervous about using fish ferts. I plan on using liquid fence. This should work on most of the Herbivores. Is the liquid Alaska fertilizer as stinky as the dried stuff?

Soil/Field Applications

Mix and apply with water as a side dress at 2 to 4 week intervals. It is important to use an adequate amount of water during application to conduct the nutrient solution throughout the root zone but not so much as to create excessive runoff.
Per Gal Water in Small Applications
3-3-3 1/2 tsp
1-5-5 1/2 tsp
16-0-0 2 tsp
Calcium 1-2qts 2 tsp

Foliar Applications

Plants will absorb foliar applied materials much more quickly than soil applied fertilizers. MetaNaturals applied in this manner is a very effective catch-up or quick fix. Mix with water and apply to plant foliage starting in the 4-leaf stage and repeat at 2 week intervals. Apply as a fine spray until leaves drip, using a wetting agent if necessary. Best when applied just before or just after sundown.
Per Gal Water in Small Applications
3-3-3 1/2 tsp
1-5-5 1/2 tsp
16-0-0 2 tsp
Calcium 2 tsp

its smelly in the original bottle, but you dilute it with water so its not bad at all. I used it all the time for my indoor grow when I lived on Vancouver Island.

This is what I use in the systems I run. The thing about metanaturals is, it is already containing microbes and will help your plants be flawless! No mg deficientcy, and if it does get it, you can add some cal/mag from botanicare and cover all bases, but I've never experienced any unless it was under serious wattage. Cut out the organic calcium obviously if you do use the cal/mag. Also, because of the nature of metanaturals, you can't let it just sit in water... it has to be used immediately or be agitated by air stones or a regenerative blower w/ sweetwater diffusers, or a pump moving the water around increasing and keeping up the level of disolved oxygen. You'll know when it goes bad!

Can Fish Emulsion be used during veg? Or is it best used during bloom only?
my fish fert is a 5-1-1.. I used it with FF grow big + Some Ea & En. Then the next feeding i added a lil superthrive to that mix.. I only feed this mix to the plants in the black gold organic soil. The girlies in the FF ocen forest im only using tap water with a ph from 6.5 to 7.0 and the all look great.. the color between the plants in the different soils are obvious. The black gold plants are dark green, And the FF OF plants are light green. If there is anything i can add to my mix please feel free to suggest.peace.
