I use a 32 gallon brute for water/nutes
i water evry other day and used molasses wed,
forgot and left it there and just checked and its all frothed up with foam, and kinda slimy on the sides of the res and bet it started to ferment.

I also left my subpump for watering in it also...its a slimy mess also,
there's always a few inches left in the bottom of the res when the pump runs drya
s always i top it off with fresh water but forgot to turn the air for the airtone on, now theres this white slick with bubbles on the surface... another res to clean out.
and i cleaned every thing monday!

anyways is 2day old fermented molasses
ok to use?
not in my indoor garden but outdoor veggies are up and running, there's bout 12-15gallons and i hate to toss it.
it doesn't smell bad at all, slightly sweet-n-mushroomy

Depends on what kind of microbes you are rolling with. If you have intentionally cultured your environment, it's probably fine. If it doesn't smell stank, it's probably fine.

I wouldn't use it inside but since it's for the outdoor stuff I would go ahead. I hate wasting.

isn't that what you were after?
it takes two days for my brewer (reactor...sorry tim) to populate...did you have any ewc or compost involved?
I would use it. it hasn't turned to alcohol yet.

same here hydroid, I hate to chuck it if it can be used

trichrider,
I wasn't trying to make any kind of brew, just wanted to sweeten things up in late bloom

I personally don't the how too's but have scanned a few threads on teas,
looks interesting for sure.
and it looks I i already have some of the basics down pat lol :D

If it's stanky, I wouldn't use it, but if it smells OK (like a brew), I might use it provded I didn't think the alcohol content is very high. Try it on a test plant. If it were me, especially in the late stage of bloom I don't think I'd risk it. MO is cheap, crops are not. You could use it on your yard.

Hey gnome. I have had this happen to me a couple times. I would just use it outside.
to much anaerobic bacteria in there. I run biobizz nutes an i mix up in the same size garbage can. I just use some H2O2 when i rinse out the rez, and good to go.

A side note...I also use molasses, an have found that it hinders the burn/taste on the finished product!! So now i use it up to the 3rd week into flower. Then switch to something like floranectar or sweet. As it is available to the plant alot faster than the slow break down of the molasses....just my 2 cents

flavoring? kidding right?
you want to rid your bud of sugars before smoking, not reload it.

greenlife says it plain...hinders burning and tastes bad.

use it to maintain microbial populations between runs. I suspect very little of the molasses makes it into the plant without first going through some digestion...

good luck
