Fermentation for c02

I know how to brew beer and prep mash for distillation, and I am aware that C02 is a by-product of this fermentation process. I am wondering if it is effective to use it for C02 supplementation in a grow room?

Peace,

It's not too effective, but it's better than nothing. Alot of people have used buckets full of water, sugar and yeast to supplement co2. The problem is that there is no way of regulating how much co2 is being released, and also the buckets release different levels of co2 depending on how old they are.

Its a fairly good way to supply a small growbox/cupboard with a few plants but for larger grows is best to use a proper co2 kit,but it will add some co2 to the air and somethings better than nothing.
If you use the yeast sugar & water method be prepered for the smell as it will stink your house out.

if ur thinking about doing something like that you can use baking soda and vinegar...it also releases c02 when put together..just a thought tho

i brew, small scale, i'd say only use for a micro grow, maybe something up to a 150W-250WHPS if it's in a small somewhat enclosed area.

i will trade good ventilation for supplemental c02 anyday...get your ventilation rite and you need no additional co2
