i don't think the feminizing puts down the germ rates. I've had 100% on all my fems if i remember correctly. More on how fresh the beans are, how they are/were preserved and who made em.

I'm using doing a run with feminized seeds...My rsults were OK:

White widow: 2 of 4 germed with one having mutated growth
C99: 2 of 3 germed, growth excellent

Think its pretty much the same with any beans...A little better than 70% success

Feminised seeds are great, i usually plant one every 2nd or 3rd seed so that i never get any bad runs with males. Ive never had a hermie or a male and have had 100% germination from all femme seeds Ive tried so far, including from Dutch Passion, FemaleSeeds, and a feminised C99 from the GN collection.

the thing with seeds in general is you have to buy them from people with good reputation, look into their background, good reports and bad. Search for grow threads on their strains and ask questions. Fem seeds are of course more expensive than regular seeds. However, some people get males or bad germination rates, and the question is how do you make good on that? When people buy a product, they expect to get what they payed for, and should. Rarely, or never is money sent back. Mostly, people get nothing, or they might get another pack sent out.. which is technically fair. With all of the people growing, and growing so much at once, how am I as a seed company to know if you got a male (that may not even be the same strain from the seeds you got sent to you, even if you show a pic) or had bad germination rates because of something you did wrong? You don't want to send out every order as a double order because some people might be trying to get free seeds. But if a company wants to have a good reputation, they should send out seeds a second time only once to anyone who complains of a problem. If the problem is far and wide, then they should examine their product. If you truly had a problem with a seed vendor, it may just be a fluke, however, moving on is a good idea. Research before you buy, and don't just look at the pretty pictures, read.

I bought 4 female seeds/ grapefruit - 1 did not germ - it was probably my fault - one is 2 wks 12-12 and looking healthy - she's a nice low stretch lady and all female so far. I would buy them again.
Good Growing
