Is it true that feminized seeds are alot like clones but only in seed form? Also are they always female, and what about the odds of them turning hermy on me?? I ask cause I have a pack of feminized Double BubbleBerry on the way!
In my experience you can get quite a bit of growth variation in seed plants that you don't get with clones.
I get my feminised seeds from reputable breeders and get 100% female plants - have done for many grows now.
Hermaphrodites (from reputably bred feminised seeds) are usually the result of grower mistakes / environmental stress - like inconsistent photoperiods.
Be rigid with your photoperiods - and ensure absolute darkness during 'night-time' in the flowering phase - give them good temps and nutrition and you should be fine.
What medium are you going to use. Are you all set up?
Anyways, good luck with the grow.
Im gonna use soil with only bat seabird guano and possibly a kelp foliar feeding if I sense the need. My setup is a 4 by 4 feet grow tent using a 600 watt HPS light which is exhausted with I think its a 256cfm fan, I might be slightly off on my exhaust fan exhaust rating, im drunk right now so I only know its in that area! But anyways thank you so much for your reply!!
Here are a couple of links that might provide some answers. You’ll find the issue to be controversial and some strong opinions are expressed. I think Tom Hill’s view is the most insightful. Focus on the science and not the popular myths that seem to be repeated everywhere.
