Femaleseeds Graperfruit/ Tom Hill Cal Jax :dueling:

Had very good experiance with both of these varieties in the past and decided to put a thread together to show what these girls are like. I used to grow Dutch Passion Fem'd and Femaleseeds White Widow, but have decided to keep Tom Hills Cal Jax as my Indica of choice for now. The Tom Hill Cal Jax is a bit harsher and not as sweet as the WW but it packs a wallop. It also produces very dense buds, similar to his Tom Hill Deep Chunk.
Heres some pics, just put them into flower a cpl of days ago.

This is an older grow pic of the Femaleseeds Grapefruit. I accidentally deleted todays pic. Same time into flwr tho but not as tall. I remember that grow, I had to bend the Femaleseeds Grapefruits over cause they rocketed in height during flower HAHAHA. These will be more managable, Ive done a few more since last year.

Here's a bud from that Femaleseeds Grapefruit

Here's the Tom Hill Cal Jax

Just looked at the dates on these pics, exactly 1 year apart.

i have had grapefruit i like it. i am actully growing it now again, but this time it looks like a bush cause it was my mother plant. i also have mist of distruction. and i didn't know at the time when i got it cause it was a freebee. that it was a 3 month flowering plant. i have sampled one of the buds off the MOD and i was so i high i could not see straight. it is a completely different high than the grapefruit. but the grapefruit plant is a pretty bitch. it's such a clean clear high i am more motivated. to do things than when i some of the MOD.

Great shots closetking! I'm running my first grow right now with Grapefruit, 4 1/2 weeks into flower, and that branchy sativa pheno looks mighty familiar. Only yours had about 10 times the small leaves mine currently does. : )

Peace.

Thanks for the feedback

To Indo - because I cut clones from my girls the day they go 12/12, I have 7- 8 weeks of veg for the next crop. My clone and veg space is small which means I have to top constantly or they out grow their space. ( see pic)

I've been doing it this way a loooong time and have learned the best way to top to maintain shape. Thats an older pic of my clone/veg space. It is lit with 2 70W hps security lights without the lens's. I can squeeze 12 1 gal pots in there but it gets awfull crowded when they are about 6 weeks from being cut. I start my clones in styro cups inside 2 liter soda bottles, then xplant to 1 gals after 28 days. I then xplnt them to 10 liter pots when they move in under the 1000w hortilux on a mover, veg for about a week, then 12/12.

Core- they smell wonderfull!!!!. They burst with aroma when watered/feed, and when they are cut, the aroma can hypnotize you. These Femaleseeds stock are very good.

here's budshots day 38 into 12/12

Grapefruit

Caljax

The CalJax is a little deceptive. It looks like smaller buds but is actually very dense. My last grow with these two proved the yield to be almost the same.(approx 56g/plnt). The Grapefruit would fill a bag, the CalJax looked like the bag was tapped for about half the weight when in fact it was true. Once cut and smoked, the Caljax turned out to be one potent smoke. Not as sweet as a White Widow, but very potent.

By the way, I have put in two of Femaleseeds Ice, 2 beans-2 plants, good start. I will run a seperate thread on them when I rotate them into flower in a about a month. Yes they are vegging under the 70W hps lights. Very versatile lights.

how tal she wil get inside ....that grapefruit ..i understand its a outdoorplant if im correct?
56 dry weight?

:ying:

yes, 56g dry weight. That is the low avg. The girls in the center of my table do better than the perimeter, I usually can get way over 56g from them. As far as stretch, they will certainly do that. These went into 12/12 at aprox 24 inches high. They are at least 48 inches now and my experiance has been at least a doubling in height. I have to use sticks and wire to keep them up. The branches are kinda spindly and sag with the weight of the buds. I find they are ready to hvst at 49-56 days. The Caljax are ready starting at day 56. I also use Fox Farm products
If this plant was to be grown outdoors with a normal outdoor time frame I would think she would be very big, and would need need lots of horizontal space.

heres a shot of them on the table
