Females Seeds c99 - 101

There are at least 3 different versions of females seeds c-99.

The X line, the grapefruit, and one version that shows both Grapefruit and the Pineapple phenos.

No clue which version I should consider for best results.

Can someone shed some light on which one they would choose and why?

Thanks!

Depends on what ur plans r.... id go with the both pineapple n grapefruit. .. unless ur outdoors the x line seems to be better... id avoid the gf one due to autoflower tendencies ,..

Hello,

I've had great experiences with their C99 and I've found several phenos as well. Lots of resin and realtive fast flowering. I purchased a packet when they released the pure strain and was pretty happy with it. You should select from a few to find a potent keeper though, but smell is super yummy and consistent.

They use an original cut from Grimm Bros so it should be good enough. Grapefruit is a different cross and it's been hybridised with another strain, so it's not pure C99 S1s. Not sure about the X-Line version (probably hybridised too) but Female Seeds used to have good stuff, I'd stay with he pure C99 too if that's what you are looking for.

Keep it green.

Hi Musta. I'm excited about growing some daytime smoke. Anything similar to this buzz you could recommend?

I wouldn't bother with the Female Seeds version and buy a pack of Mosca Negra's C99 BX-1 instead.

Seedsman has them in stock.

Thanks Ninja. I don't see anyway to run regular seeds in this next grow. I only have room for 8 in the tent and want to try some other strains as well.

currently in beg with this strain - nice and smelly now, they are about 2-3 feet and are waiting for some space to open up in flower room

FS C99 one of my fave genetics.. good plant. got a nice apricot flavour out of an originals pack. does well in crosses. ..like one with a sour bubble x the white hybrid.. turned orangey there.

I'm trying to test daytime strains. I'll try the FS version first and if I like c99, then maybe I'll look at running Mosca's next time. I say that, but I found out I don't like growing males when I only have a few spots in my tent.

I hope to run 4 feminized wake and bake strains, 2 plants each, all in the same tent, all at the same time and see what happens. After weeks of research, FS c99 was one that made the test list.

Someone reading this might be interested in what I found out and what I plan to run alongside the C99. I'm guessing there are a lot of small growers of head stash like me that are looking for strains that have an upbeat functional buzz. There are so many strains out there, it's nearly impossible to narrow them down for the novice like me.

After a while of reading, I started to see trends. Of all the classic wake and bake strains recommended out there, they usually contained in some form a Haze, a Jack, a Diesel of some type, along with a widow was common. The second thing I noticed was most of the strains were Sativa but there are also upbeat Indicas so I couldn't totally discount all Indica's.

The first strain I selected was a daytime 1:1 CBD strain. For anyone who hasn't experienced the awesomeness of CBD on your overall health, I would suggest you get a good vaporizer and use it for a couple of days. I strongly suspect you'll be a convert too and toss your bongs shortly after. I vape 99% of the time and can absolutely see and feel the merits of CBD in my own health even at low CBD levels so a high CBD content could be important IF I could get high CBD in a wake and bake strain and IF would still get me THC high.

Many if not most of those high CBD strains are for pain and produce couch lock. I found one strain that doesn't cause couch lock.

BTW, all strains I selected here must offer an upbeat, social buzz and have feminized seeds available.

The high CBD daytime strain I selected to test is this one:

Reggae Seeds - Juanita la Lagrimosa - Reina Madre x Diesel - http://www.reggaeseeds.com/eng/p/pr...abis/seeds-feminized-juanita-la-lagrimosa.htm

The other 3 that I plan to test are these. (Not high CBD strains)

Devils Harvest - Casey Jones - Trainwreck x Thai x Sour Diesel - http://en.**********.eu/strain-info/Casey_Jones/The_Devils_Harvest/

Paradise seeds - Nebula - Haze X White Widow? https://www.paradise-seeds.com/en/nebula

Female Seeds C99 - Princess x Jack Herer - http://www.femaleseeds.nl/en/c99-70.html

Out of the 100's of strains I think I looked at, I think I ended up with an interesting combination in these 4 strains.

One high CBD daytime strain
One Classic Sativa wake and bake strain
One 3 way cross of classic(s) wake and bake strains
One Big yielder
One fast finisher
Two Cup Winners

Plus, I got a Haze and white widow hybrid too, which are two more classic wake and bake strains and ALL are in feminized seeds. I got some earthy and fruity tasting strains as well.

At the end of this run I should have a pretty good idea of what I like in a wake and bake and how the FS c99 fits in my rotation.

It doesn't hurt that C99 is low odor and get's chopped at 52 days from seed. I can see why people think it's a winner.

Any fast sativa from Original Delicatessen would be even more fruity and probably more euphoric than the C99, which I've found nice but with a bit of comedown just like any other Jack Herer, SSH, Amnesia and commercial sativa leaning dutch hybrid... so not the best example of pure head stash for me, more like sativa hybrid effect. Even the Lemon Skunk and Super Lemon Haze could be similar interesting options for you too.

Otherwise go for fast sativas instead of hybrids. If you are willing to try something new, the "pinneapple toke" (aka Lilly) and Queen Mother from Delicatessen are hands down some of the best smoke I had lately. Very renowned strains all over Spain but not so much outdside. Juanita Lagrimosa is another great functional strain with high CBD was made with their Queen Mother, but without the upbeat active buzz from it due to the CBD.

Peace.

Cool, I haven't ordered anything. One of the things i was looking closely at was comedown. I don't want a hard crash in the middle of my morning. I'm having a hard time with that one now.

Fast and sativa's are not usually used in the same sentence. Which ones are fast Sativas?

I live in an apartment so I can't grow anything too stinky. I have a filter and fan but I still have to open that tent everyday. I need the plants I grow NOT to reek of weed.

Now what would you suggest?

Try Cannabiogen Mextiza

Thanks for trying. Those only come in regular.

I'm not sure I know how to grow the old time landrace type strains anyway. I was looking at Eskos Oaxacan IBL but was concerned about length of time to grow and size.

I tried mexican bag seed too and it never produced anything but major leaves and finally after a few months, I gave up and chopped them.

I think for my situation I need to grow more tried and true indoor type strains. They may not be the newest of the best but they may be close enough for what I need.

Ur right, only regular Mextizas are available.

Dutch Passion Power Plant comes to mind, a friend said it was his best daytime smoke ever. I never tried it, maybe next season.
I would go the African route, like feminized Congo by ACE or some sativa fems by Tropical Seeds Co.

don't grow like you'd play a game of top trumps :) i found some effects, preferences to be very subjective. you may find that some terpenes are more interesting than strains, or eg. "i prefer early cut indicas for the sativa effect i was looking for," - durban (thc-v) i see a lot of polarisation on.. some love some don't. have fun :)

Grew out two seeds of female's c99 and both were some very nice ladies. One was a shorter grapefruit smelling pheno with nice fat buds. It was very easy to trim and handled lst like a champ. The other pheno was a sweet pineapple smelling girl with a much heavier sativa influence. This one grew into a monster. Huge yield but a little more leafy than the grapefruit. Both were frosty as hell and had a great happy/giggly high. Ordered the four pack and it had five in it. Im not huge on fem seeds but would definitely recommend these. Great bang for your buck.

Here is the grapefruit pheno. Ill find some pictures of the pineapple and post those later.
