Female? w/ pics

Hi,

I have been vegging over 5 weeks now and one of my plant starting to show some pistils. I\\\'m still a novice, at this stage I can\\\'t really tell if it\\\'s a male or female plant. Is it a female? Please break the good news...

Pictures 2 and 6 show hairs, so if it's the same plant, looks like a girl to me.

From what i was told, if the hair is straight parallel to the stem then it\'s a male or if it\'s curly then it\'s a female. This plant show characteristic of both, kinda confusing.

Wait a few more days and look for 2 lil white hairs coming out of the pistils...From my somewhat limited experience, I'd say be patient and let the plant tell you and try not to guess

I used to get impatient and would be ready to cull the plant before I gave it time show its sex...Relax, fill a bowl and watch the pretties grow

You wont be able to tell for sure the sex until you flip to 12/12, takes about a week after that to show sex.

no srry to say but this info is wrong this

is a girl, heres some easy peasy info to sex your plants. a female preflower will look like a pear as it matures 2 white hairs protrude. a male has a very small ball looks like a mini basketball, as it matures it grows a stick in which more balls group together. if you have a suspected male wait he wont spit pollen untill theres several groups of balls 10-14 days after sex is knowen. when a suspected males starts to group balls together then cull him or use for breeding.

the preflowers are a indicator of the plants sex 12/12 isnt needed to sex the plant especially if you plan to veg longer. throwing plants into 12/12 just to sex then revertn back to veg takes way more time in the plants life cycle. 12/12 to sex plant then put plant back into veg lighting cycle can take 4-8wks+. when i took cuts from my nephews memoryloss urkel pheno them cuts where 2 wks into flower {average time to sex a plant by force flowering}. these cuts took 10wks to fully revert to veg i have a bubba kush cross doing same same right now. that cut was taken 1wk into flower. when you force flower a plant for sexing flowering hormones build up. the longer its been flowering to find sex the more of this hormone is built up, thus the longer it will take to revert to full veg. unless the strain is 100% sativa most strains show plants sex 3-6 wks from sprout, when a plant matures it will alternate nodes




and the plant will be ready to show it's sex.
