So all of you guys claiming to never have problems with male flowers on female plants are spraying hormones? How can you do that and claim so and so is a great breeder? The breeder may be honest and a great person but as Zooty said, having that many new "strains" year in and year out is not the same as working a line down and creating a new strain. The breeder is pollen chucking using clone only's and reversing. If you have to spray hormone to have "zero problems" you have a problem. Thats why you sprayed the hormone!

I've never used feminizer, never had a problem with any fem beans except the Nep Jam as previously stated... I do however use stock from breeders that select and do not just chuck pollen about. :tiphat:

You obviously aren't up to speed on what we are discussing. We are using ethylene here, not some crazy growth hormone. Ethylene acts as a hormone, but is a naturally occurring compound. Using it to control sex is not the same as using paclobuterol to increase bushiness/yield.

Fems can be messy, even more so with stressful conditions and using ethylene is a natural safe way to avoid problems. No one is saying Fems are perfect, rather how to avoid male flowers when your grow spot has stressors. I use it as a fail safe, not as a fix. I make mistakes all the time and ethylene gives me an extra margin of securit, even though I may not need it.

Also, ethylene has so many other positive attributes, it's worth it.

So again, read a little deeper before making a comment, you may learn a thing or two.

LOL at having to rely on reverse products to prevent hermies. No thanks sir

I'll stick to trusted genetics that have been worked properly

Again, your not reading. It's an extra precaution for Fems, any Fems. Any breeders Fems. Not any specific strain or genetics...... the discussion was about CSG genetics, so again, maybe Fems aren't for you, not everyone can handle the variability and risks associated. That saud, try CSG OG Chem. it's funky.

I don't know if I missed it or not,but is there any Pix of The plant/Plants that did that?Is the plant you showed that made it from the same batch of Beans as the herm's ?I've grown a lot of CGS stuff,Fem and Reg.I never had issues with full Herm'n.I did have a Sterile banana pop up,I picked it and had no problems.I don't ever really grow Fem's,but never had a problem with CGS Fem's when I did.Woulda liked to have seen the plants.Peace and Stay Safe,DancesWithWeed.🌱🍁🍀
