Hey guys,
First post here.. I have been looking around on the forums and there seems to be a lot of really knowledgable helpful people on here so I'm excited to be part of the community.. Now before my question heres the situation in a nutshell:
I have a buddy that is setting me up with a 4k grow in my garage. He pulls an average of 2.5+ of GREAT flower per light every harvest so i feel comfortable taking his guidance BUT he has only done 2 harvests and basically goes off of a notebook with written instructions.
He just has regular 1000w bulbs but I have been looking at the 1000w Gavita's or any other DE setup and understand they are a lot more powerful and need more headroom. I have 12' ceilings so I'm sure my headroom won't be a problem.
SO, if we were to get the the Gavita's, would the recipe for his feeding he follows need to be changed because of the DE system?
I feel like if he's pulling 2.5+ per light.. is it really necessary to do the upgrade and risk fucking things up because we aren't experienced enough to tweak things on our own?
