fatter buds

hi guys! im currently into my sixth week in flower and just wondering if my buds will fatten up still. theres plenty of thc build up around the buds. the plant is 6 foot tall with the main cola about 20-22 inch tall. its my 1st time and just hoping for some compact bud. they are feeling much firmer but with only 2-3 week left will i achieve my target? thanks

Well you should be pleased to find out that the last few weeks is when they put on the most weight. Last 2 weeks flush with water if your using nutes and they should swell on ya anyway.

that's one big ass cola ya got there. after ya chop her you can drop the lights and finish off the lower half

hey padster whatup ur plant looks real good,looks pretty sativa dominant too,so its probably got more time to go 3-4weeks.if u can add some side ltg. thattl fatten up the a bit more also jammie idea is good 2.hope this helps

cheers copper! im a bit of a newbie when it comes to strains and stuff. had a bit of a prob the last week the top of the main cola was getting fairly hot so had to ad an extra intake to cool the area between the light and top of the bud is this ok and whould i need extra outtake to compensate for the new intake. ive only the 1 plant in abig tent. its loving the space justy hope it keeps coming on ok im a bit parraniod with it being the 1st grow n dont want to mess up after going ok for so long. ive got 6 new plants vegging in a box ready to go in as i only did this 1 just to get to grips with it. i will wait the ammount it takes. a freind has got his name on the main cola n hes clucking like a chicken turkeying for the end product.

Looks like its got a while to go before flushing,imm.
Id keep growing,your robbing yourself of yeild flushing now.

cheers mate! its 7 week old i just didnt want to mess up now. do u think it would be wise to cut back on the nutes tho just so the plant can take some goodness out of the plant before the flush coz we dont want to be smoking dodgy chemicals do we??

i havent a clue i got it from a friend of a friend! they all say its blues around here but personally i am a newbie and havent the foggest. does anyone have any clues is there any expert know it all strain spotters out there.

Hey bud, ways to know you're ready to harvest are the pistils are turning brown, but the MOST important part is keeping an eye on the trichomes.

Look at the trichomes closely with a magnifying glass or other optic(hand held microscope from radio shack for $15) http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2179604 that you can see if they are clear, milky white, or amber. For best results with a sativa dom I like to have them all milky white with some amber mixed in here and there. hopefully this link of trichome pics will work. http://www.icmag.com/gallery/data/500/7699chart-trichome1.jpg

When you see the trichomes starting to turn milky, flush with water and only use water until harvest. This flushes all the excess nutes out and allows the plant to use them up so your smoke will taste clean, delicious, and mellow instead of harsh from nutes in your buds.

What were u feeding? week 6-8+ are the swole weeks, they put on atleast a 3rd of there weight then

Go to the supermarket..and go to the honey/syrup isle..get 1 or 2 bottles of grandmas mollases..feed with 1-2 tablespoons per gallon in the last few weeks..or hell,since you first start flowering..it is truly a MUST have for any serios grower..as is maxicrop liqid seaweed..the carbs and sugars in the mollases help fatten the buds..and it also has some micro nutrients..
