Fastest finishing auto?

What is the fastest finishing auto on the market that you can rely on to finish early and produce upwards of a half ounce per plant grown in soil under cfl's? or , Would i be better of with a reg strain and cloning?

To provide some info on my setup...

I aim to be able to complete grows from seed to harvest in the shortest possible time. I only need to dry weigh one ounce per week so half ounce upwards per plant is compulsary.

No use doing 1 big grow and only smoking an ounce a week as i'll smoke it all in a week if its there.

I have the optimal space for 16 pots and this can be pushed to 22 at a squeeze. So, to have a perpetual harvest i want to be pulling 2 plants a week and planting 2, but this can only work properly if have a strain thats going to be finished in 8 weeks or near enough.

Growspace is 8 feet wide, 3 feet deep and 5 feet high over 4 foot of it and 3 feet high over the other 4 feet. i am only using 2 foot depth and have it divided into 2 sections, (not light proof sections and both on 20/4) up to 14 pots can go under 2x125w cfl's from seed to sex, then 8 pots go under 2x125w cfl's + 1x45 led + 8x23w cfls hanging to finish off. Growing in light fertilized compost mix from seed to harvest in same 6.5 litre pots. Using chemical grow and bloom ferts with bat guano and worm compost tea now and again.

or you could just do 16 plants in a 2 x 2 ft area under a 150watt HPS, and yield over a QP every 65 days. Is very easy. Planting only 2 plants each time will run you into problems with males and not getting the females you are after. Planting larger amounts of seeds to find the females you will need is much easier and a sure bet.

All your lights are ok but if you really want the best you can get from your AFs please use HIDs. HPS or MH are the best things out there for the few decades for a reason. LEDs still have some way to go before they can really compete, LEDs main downfall is lack of penatrating power, where you are left with a very shallow canopy that receives enough light.

As for fastest flowering AFs, go with Sour 60 and Blue Streak, they are done around 8-9 weeks. Most new AFs go around 8-10 weeks or so. there were phenos in Original LR#1 that were done in 7-8 weeks but those are a thing of the past.

There is one guy i know that is working on a super fast AF done in 50 Days from seed, but it is still a work in progress.

In my opinion your gonna have to sacrifice more yield than time gained for that 1-2week shorter time, you should just go with some heavy yielding like ak47 or sour60..s60 is suposed to be ready in 60days from seed but i think its a little more than that, depending on pheno you get, but to answer your question I've heard pakistan ryder, afgan kush ryder, short rider are some of the fastest, i bet you can find even faster out there try check the info on some auto seed sites, you could also grow a potent auto and harvest it early if you like the more uplifting high

ps that pink bud has an awesome colour :yes:

Thanks for the replies guys.

Love the pics, they look awesome! when you scrogged what kinda training/topping did you use? how well did yer auto's respond to the topping and have ye tried the strain without any stressing?

Problem with a QP for 10 weeks or there abouts is that we could happily and would happily smoke it all in a couple of weeks. I have no will power to cut down at all and if i run out i've no willpower not to dial-a-bud and have him round in 20 mins with some smoke especially if i know i gotta wait a week or more for my own to be ready. Thats why i have gone for perpetual as i can always chop an early branch if need be and if i don't then she'll be dialing the bud or nipping off buds herself.

its not just me smoking, the wife smokes as much as me, we're both what would be classed as double the average heavy user use allegedly. we've both been toking for 20+ years and both have been used to smoking on the cheap/free from dealer mates for most of those 20 years so we've both got a massive tolerance. we both work decent full time jobs and neither of us smoke at work and neither of us enjoy drinking alcohol.

I used to work over in Amsterdam in a coffee shop so I tend to roll killer jointz.

I was looking at the sour60 as its in the name but other peoples grows have taken a couple of weeks longer on s60. The other names i dont remember much about so i'll go do a bit of reading :)

Sorry buddy that is an AF-SOG Sea of Green, no topping or training, those plants are just put in tightly together those are 4 per sq ft. Each top is its own plant, AF strains varry how well they do in AF-SOG systems and you need to find the best ones that have the least amount of branching and put most of the wieght into the main top. This will ensure you get the yeild and quality you are after. This PINK BUD did a great job! others that are good for AF-SOG are, Auto-AK47, Master Low aka Auto-Hindu Kush, and a few others. just look for the more compact and stout AFs, not the larger Sativa dominant types, they tend to have far to many branches to keep in check.

How does SOG work outdoors? Nice pics by the way. The biggest yielder I´ve had so far is with Mossy´s Jem, I had two phenos and the one was a major source of joy.

Great, great , great POST! Lemmie ask you this...when did you First see color??? ie; F1, F2, F3???? because those "PINK BUDZ" look beautiful bro!!! great effin job on those F4's.....Reason i'm asking is because i'm currently growing my F1's of Sour60 x Purple Jem...>SourJemz....! and would like to know when you saw your color come in....? And when you were breeding did any mom or any dad have color which got you to those awesome looking PINK bithes!!!!
Gonna pollinate sum lower budsites on 1 of my sourjem girls to get some F2's....as of right now, (day 31) no color....Btw, mom was a S60 & dad was a PJem... dad had no color.....Mossy said that original Jem was 30% red/pink, 30% white and 30% purple....So inquiring minds wanna know...Thanks! and +rep on those F4's!:bump:

Just had a Low Life White Russian & Diesel Ryder both finish at exactly 60 days.

White Russian: 13.3 grams
Diesel Ryder 19.8 grams

Both outdoor.

I've done multiple outdoor grows of both those strains and earliest they have finished for me has been about 75 days. Have some DR going indoor right now that is at 77 days and trics are just starting to turn amber. What's your secret to finishing them that fast?

I've always experienced longest ripening time outdoors, cutting exactly at 60 days is often too early. 75 days or so is more likely imho due to less light hours per day than indoor, cold, bad weather.

Peace

I used:

1 gallon pots.
covered the bottom 2 or 3" with perlite.
filled the rest with a 50 / 50 mix of coco & perlite.

drain to waste.

started lst at the 2nd node.

used the Rez recipe modified for CES. 1/2 strength for the first 2 weeks, then full veg. I changed over to the CES transition mix when they first started flowering to give them a little more nitrogen. After I pulled the males I gave them their first kool bloom slam. I stick with fresh water fridays and every 7 days give them a full flush of ph adjusted water.

I believe in growing bud, not leaf. As soon as they start to get bushy, they get a severe cut. In flower they only leafs I kept where a few fans, and the ones that grow out around the buds.

Each one had around 30% cloudy trichs, and it killed me take them a little early, but botrytis was present. I think it was due to the intense marine layer blocking out the sun and just letting the uv rays beat down.

In comparison my WR indoor started to turn yellow at 45 days, and the leaves where falling off at day 60. No signs of bud rot on the indoor. The difference with the indoor, is it grew one long, mainly single cola and some side branches. While the outdoor was more of a bush.

I've got pictures of everything from day 1, I've just been to lazy to upload / edit them.

Samples are out of each one so I should be hearing back from a few friends by this weekend. So far they are holding there own for my friends who have low to medium tolerance levels. But it's hard to pack a bowl of White Russian when you have Skywalker OG, or Bubba Kush on standby.

Thanks for the info. You are using smaller pots, I use 2 gallon, and a slightly different soil mix. I let mine go until I see at least 10% amber. If I picked at 30% cloudy I would be picking at around the same time as you. That explains the difference.

These ruderalis plants sure look nice, but im a skeptic only because it's ruderalis. Anyone that can tell me about the potency of ruderalis? everytime I tasted some it really can't compare to any indica / sativa, it's even less then standard smoke quality each time I taste it.

What do you guys think?

Thanks for all the input guys, really appreciated. I've got a thrip infestation just breaking out, stage 2 larvae out of 5 stages, gonna treat tonight but if not sorted by the house move in a weeks time, might just ditch my plants and start afresh in the new place with the above suggestions :D I'm thinking my biggest limiting factor for yield and matureness is the cfl's so new house will get a proper grow light. No offence to cfl's or led's. I've given them a shot and seen what they do for me, now i'll give hps a go and see what i prefer/finishes the plants quickest.

I've smoked lowryder, snowryder and onyx so far, each has been better than dealer weed. My onyx and snowryder werent as knockout as my mates lowryder but i chopped mine at weeks 7, 8 and just done another onyx at 9 weeks 1 day. still drying.

I reckon if you were to be given 2 baggies, one of a reg strain and an auto and you wouldnt be able to tell them apart, taste or stone.

Mi5 is the most potent auto I've grown so far. Grown outdoors they reached about 30" in height and yielded 2 ounces per plant. Anytime I have a new strain I do the "joint test", how much of a joint can I smoke in one sitting. With most auto strains I usually can't get through half a joint. I'm a daily smoker to do have a high tolerance. With Mi5 I'm lucky if I can get through 1/4.

The ruderalis plant was used in breeding for its auto flowering traits. The potency has been improved by crossing with full size strains. Ruderalis by itself has almost no THC.

These ruderalis plants sure look nice, but im a skeptic only because it's ruderalis. Anyone that can tell me about the potency of ruderalis? everytime I tasted some it really can't compare to any indica / sativa, it's even less then standard smoke quality each time I taste it.

That would be wonderful if they finish that fast. My first indoor grow of Diesel Ryders took 12 weeks so I was expecting the Mi5 to take a little longer.
