Fast strains

Hi,
I've just ordered a fast strain. Blueberry x c99 fast version. It's meant to Finnish in 6-7 week

I wondered if anyone who has experience with fast strains know the sort of hit my yields will take.
I know sweet seeds have done fast versions for a while. So anyone who grew any of them tell me the sort of difference in yield from normal strains.

I grew Bro Grimm Apollo 11 for years precisely because it was so productive. It was a 1999 original, took 6 weeks 4 days. Was a CANT to trim only reason I let her go. Still know people who run that cut though. MAD trichome production from a couple of weeks in.
Easy 4 or 5 z each with 3 weeks veg, all day long. You could get 5 grows a year done in one room with wiggle room and no stress. Lemony but developed incense with curing.

I'm guessing these beans you've ordered are part of Seedsman new fast line?
Are you planning on running a journal? Would be interesting to see how they pan out.

Yes bud exactly. Order arrived not half hour ago even.
Yup I'm gonna have a diary in the seedsman thread for the competition.

I was gonna wait to pop them but I've already got them floating in spring water lol.
I've also moistened a soil mix and filled pots ready .

taste should be interesting. C99 is often grapefruit but I had a Joey Weed F2 one that was cherry. Anyway, with Blueberry, should be fruity :) you pop all of them? I started some weeks ago still getting cuts off them and vegging. Apart from the total crap shoot, I always forget how long it takes from seed.

I tried a couple of sweet seeds F1 fast versions a few years ago. I found the bud was a bit weak due to genetics but they did finish in around 45-49 days. They were listed as being ready after 7 weeks which they was.
Peace

Yeah fruity is what I'm after. Ya I put them all in soak for 12hrs. I have space for 8 so I pop 10 knowing there will be runts.
Be nice if all ten come up nice.

Good hear about the speed. I just had to Bin a crop because one of the 2 strains grew balls and pollinated the rest of plants.
So I was looking for something to knock 2 or 3 weeks off the normal 9 _10 week strains I do.

Same here. Did the Cream Caramel and Sweet Cheese fast versions. Mine took the full 8 weeks, which didn't bother me. But both were seriously lacking in the potency department. Looked and smelled awesome, just no power at all.

Well that sucks to hear. Maybe I should have had a look and asked questions before I made my choice.:dunno:

Haha well it is what it is. Just got to get on with and hope for the best.

At worst you take one for the team so to speak & have a not so potent yield. At best they are the nuts. Nice cross though. Was thinking of grabbing some myself but thought I'd wait for a few grow reviews to pop up first. C99 & blueb could be epic

Well keep an eye on my journal in the seedsman thread fella and you will see how I get on with them. I love the sound of this cross and yeah I just hope maybe fast versions have got better over passed 2 or 3 years.
My fingers are crossed

I would expect decent potency from Seedsman. I have not found potency in Sweet seeds either but Seedsman hasn't let me down. Looking forward to your results!

Cheers dude. I'm staying positive.
I have a sweet seeds fast sweet skunk seed in the fridge with my little collection. Not sure I will ever use it now though. I'm sure I can find a buddy who can put it outside this summer.
