Made one of these the other day and decided to refine a few things and create a tutorial for people to make their own. They hit well and really cool down the smoke
Items needed:
Two, Sobe Life Water Bottles (20oz usually around $1 at most stores)
One, 3 tsp medicine measuring cup
One, cake decorating tip
Fresh razor blade.
Drill bits (or steak knife)
Hot glue gun
Supplies
1. Take your bottles and rinse them out, cut off the labels and the plastic lip rings.
2. Take the bottle that is going to be on the top and cut out the bottom like the picture. Make sure you do not cut the bottom of the bottle but in a ways. You want to keep the little you lip on there.
3. Grab your cake decorating tip and cut of the very tip to get rid of the design. This part is not needed on some tips but some it will open up the hole a little bit. Do not cut off too much only take off a very little.

4. Get your lid from the bottle and cut a hole big enough to slide the cake tip in through the bottom but leave it small enough that the rim on the cake tip does not go all the way through. This is easiest with drill bits. I could not find the big one so I used the biggest i had and twisted a steak knife around and around slowly going in further to make the hole bigger. The more time you take the rounder the hole will be.

5. Run a bead of hot glue around the rim of the cake decorating tip and slide it through the hole through the bottom of the cap. Be careful the glue is hot (obviously). Once dry set it aside.
6. Take your medicine cup and razor blade and cut notches into the cup. I ended up getting 8 notches. Use picture for size reference. Once they are cut bend them down (see second picture) this makes it very easy to cut them off (third picture).
7. Get your cap with the tip through it and set the medicine cup on top of it. The edges should line up perfectly with the lid. Take the hot glue gun and put a "Tack" of glue on one side and another on the opposite side. Hold the cup until those dry and finish gluing all the other spots between the open slots you made.
8. Take the bottle that you did not cut the bottom out of (this will be the bottom of the water pipe) and you will need to make a hole for your stem. I used the same method as I did on the cap but again the drill bits will work MUCH better. Now for my stem I just used a straight metal pipe. Best thing would be to go buy a GonG slide since they are so cheap. Or if you want you can get one of those plain white bic pens and take it apart so you just have the white tube and put a socket on the end of it for the bowl. I do not recommend doing this way but if you must then you can.After you make the hole get your perc and screw it onto this bottle.
9. Now the bottom half is complete. A carb will need to be made if you can use a slide. So you will want to grab your bottle with the bottom cut out and put it on top of the bottle with the perc. I used a stick and some tape to get it half way centered. Line the bottle up best you can and put about a half inch bead with the hot glue gun where the two bottles meet. Push the two bottles together while that cools (do not have to push extremely hard just firm). Once that one cools, do the same on the opposite side. When that is done I ran a bead around 1/4 of the bottle and pushed them together while it cooled. Doing 1/4 around help because you can hold the two bottles horizontally while it cools and gravity will help hold the glue in the seam, otherwise it tends to pull the glue down and out of the seam if the bottle are vertical.
10. Admire your work and enjoy.
