fast finishers and AFs

Hi all, I was wonder what exactly if the difference between an AF strain and a "fast finisher" like C99 x GG3 is. I started some c99xgg3 in early June outside in S. Cali and they are already starting to flower in 14+ hours of sunshine.

i would assume having the gg in it would make it a auto flowering plant that starts to flower a lot later than the standard auto flowering plants like lr#1 and lr#2

from my understanding there is only one type of gg that is fully auto flowering

i always thought an af will flower under 24/0 but an early finisher will flower under 18/6. the so called "semi-autoflower"

Thanks. So with the fast finishers like gg you can keep a mother at 24/0 and clone her which would be the main difference of the two? I would think the fast finishers would be a good strain to hit with the pollen of an AF but I have yet to see any crosses does anyone know why?

I thought AF flowered on age and an early finishing strain needs the light to drop to flower (18/6 to 12/12) and will need fewer days of 12/12 then a regular strain?

Im not an expert but from what I understand, the early strains flower when light availability diminishes.. it could be 30minutes of light loss, it could be more or less.. but they are basically "triggered" into flowering with a decrease in daylight period..

Just my understanding..
