Fan leaves feel dry and rough like sandpaper

Hey there,

A buddy of mine has been micro-growing Lemonberry for a few years using the same soil and nutrients but now I think something is a bit off and I'm hoping you fine people can point him in the right direction.

His plants are in veg with about a week to go until 12/12 but most of his fan leaves are now feeling dry and rough like sandpaper. They are looking a bit less greener than 2 weeks ago but still okay. He doesn't have any meters to check pH or TDS so I'm not able to solve his problem if its lockout or lack of nutrients or other. Any thoughts?

Temp will most likely be too high for the relative humidity (RH). Cool it down or increase the humidity.

I think you’re all on the money especially when I find out that about 3 weeks ago he added a 100W heater into his cabinet during lights out…it’s the end of winter down-under. I figure this has greatly affected the humidity and the cause of the leaves drying out. But strangely when I told him this, he wasn’t convinced and said he’d just raise the lights and maybe do some foliar spraying. I guess sometimes you just can’t help some people…But thank you guys again.
