Hey IC I'm a recent convert from GC; I find this place has much more useful information. I've done my research, and I'm posting this to verify that I'm correct before I continue with this project. This is my first time setting up my own room, and I want to plan ahead and do it right.
The room I'll be working with will be 10' deep, 6'5" high, and 6.5" wide. If my calculations are correct, this leaves 422.5 cubic feet to be ventilated. There will be four 1000W HPS lights in there.
Now, I know the most optimal ventilation setup can recirculate all the air in the room in under 5 minutes. With that in mind;
1. The quieter, the better.
2. Would a 500CFM fan and a 500CFM max carbon filter work well, or would I be able to get away with something smaller?
3. If the room's depth is cut in half (5' instead of 10') and has only 2 lights (211.25 cubic feet), what equipment would you suggest?
Also, are there any brands of vent/filter that are known to be "better" than others? If so, can you explain why it's better? All suggestions welcome!
Thank you!
