Fan and filter for micro grow - 9cft/9cfm

Hello everyone.

Im planning a micro grow and Im stuck. I pretty much bought ventilation-equipment, going with the minimum recommended on "stores" and ended up buying stuff I have no use for what so ever.

The grow Im trying to do is a micro grow, a stealth one. Its a mother/clones setup using two small spaces.

Reading around Ive come up with that you...
- Want 1 airchange per minute as a max to avoid stress
- If using a carbon filter, almost account for 50% less moving air

Ive already bought an simple 66cfm inline fan that sounds like a jet and after that bought dimmers - which brought a humming to the engine, and didnt do much about noise - back to square one.

What would you recommend for such a small space?

Ive looked at DIY carbon filters with PC-fans as some of them are designed to pull thru simple screens filtering out dust from a PC - however a carbon filter is giving alot more resistance.

This leads me to a push-pull-setup, but if I have to add pre-filters I dont think it will work anymore.

Do you have any tips or ideas I could work from? This is really de-moralizing having to fail upon fail.

Reading one thread about PC-fans saying that they are totally worthless and them seeing succesful grows using PC-towers and so on.

Please, shine on me.

Thank you,

for a tiny system, a spent carbon filter might still work and would be super cheap off CL
just have to find a place to hide it and get duct to it

Thank you for som heads up,

Im thinking of a simple push-pull with carbon in between, some kind of setup that I cant insert from outside the tent and be able to change carbon quickly when I need too.

Ive seen some stats on Arctic Cooling F12, not the best but it works horizontally and it still pushes 24cfm thru a radiator (Corsair H80). I know carbon is going to give resistance but as it is a small space - even half of that would be over 1 change per minute.

How thick layer would you go for? Its a 120mm fan, how about 2 inches or something like that?
