Time to start my grow season

First seeds in 1 ltr pots of coco as follows:

hand watered coco under 3 x 100 watt spider farmer LED boards
Will be trying solid nutes for the first time (ie, soluble salts) rather than bottled. Should be an adventure.

Aiming to take cuts off the CBD#1s, and collect pollen from any male CBD#1 hybrids, to do a (sibling, kinda) back cross. Last grow the CBD#1 was probably the visually most impressive plant in terms of frosty bud production, and family & friends with chronic health conditions have enjoyed its medicinal effects. Interested to see what crosses with MMWR & DWJ Bx produce longer term, and also what the F1 females (if there are any...) smoke like. There should be some CBD inherited from the fathers in each case, most likely for the DW Bx.

Sometimes its skill, more often its "f*ck around and find out" I kill a lot of plants along the way (and hopefully learn something each time)

Depending on how the initial round do, I've a whole bunch more to germinate. Planning to pop the Nanda Devi (Real Seed Co) that have been calling to me for a few years, plus a bunch of "Blues" (my own P2 Blueberry seeds from 2 of my 2019 grow of MSNL Blueberry, Purple Bud x Blueberry F1, VG's Bluedigiberry F3, and a feminised Blue Cindy 99 from MSNL). I've grown the PBxB before, and they were absolute bangers.

Another goal this grow is to make some silver solution and make my own feminised seeds...

i'm still awaiting my electric meter to be replaced with a traditional meter. they keep sending the smart meter team over, and they get routinely told ' no' . sighs , so it is stressing me out and made me a touch paranoid....

I got impatient... man it was difficult choosing what not to plant.

So that's the first round of seeds all in coco. I've read Nanda Devi can be tricky to germinate. Lets see.

Will see how I feel about a second round at the end of the year, but this is plenty for now. Will use grafts to get down to about 12 plants total. Sink or swim, kids, Chaos Mom is here. Am expecting a fair few boys from all the regs. Boys will be removed to a back room and pollen collected.

Early emergence prize goes to the CBD#1 x DWJbx. First came up yesterday, followed by the second this morning. Both the ACE CBD#1 fems are up today, as well as the Thunderfuck Auto. It's all happening

So, I foolishly didnt turn the fan on when I started this first batch, and have had some damping off.

I lost both the initial ACE CBD#1s, both the CBD x DWJBx, and one of the CBD x MMWR. I've since upped the ventilation, and sprayed the surface with a dilute peroxide solution. Fingers crossed I dont lose any more. All the new batch of coco has been treated with boiling water. I've replanted the CBD x DWJ Bx & another ACE CBD.

None of the Nanda Devi have sprouted yet... I'm gonna be patient.

The Sour Diesel fem didnt sprout. On excavation the seed was mouldy. I've started a new Sour Diesel fem auto in its place.

The Bluedigiberry came up early, but with one brown & rotten seed leaf, and stalled. I've culled it and sown a couple more.

I'm hoping the damping off is now fixed and I wont lose any more, but lets see. I've overplanted as insurance.

Damping off fixed, now I realise I shoulda rinsed the coco. Lazy alice
A few showing severe leaf burn and tip burn (esp the Thunderfuck Auto fem). I carefully flushed everything through today several times with a feed solution at 0.6 EC. Runoff was initially 1.0 EC but came down to 0.6 after 5 flushes (about 6 litres).

#Note to self: next time rinse the coco BEFORE planting.

But apart from that, we're doing OK. Nothing yet on the Nanda Devi. Might let them dry out, and then rewet them. I've heard they have odd germination habits. All 4 of my Thunderfak autos are up, and both of the replants for Blue Diggiberry F3. The DanceWorld x Buddah F2s are looking fine . Sour Deisel Auto fem has just showed itself. Second batch of Blueberry popping, first one not looking great (crisping leaf tips). 2nd sowing of ACE CBD is up. PBxBB looking a bit sickly but might still make it.

Third sowing of ACE CBD up yesterday (so two surviving in total)
The initial planting of BB#4 has been culled, one of 3 of the replants up and looking good.
The sickly Thunderfuck auto also didn't make it. I've replanted with one seed of MAFF (Mighty Amstel Freeze/Freisland s1), a freebie from RGS thats meant to be good for outdoor growing & resistant to mould and cold. Interested to make some hybrids for guerilla grows, and this seems like a good mother candidate. Will pollinate with Erdpurt (if its a male...) and maybe the Thunderfak autos.
Purple Bud x Blueberry is hanging on and maybe turned a corner. Some odd leaf deformation on this one.
No show still on the Nanda Devi.

Back from a few days away, and the plants have enjoyed the LITFA. MAFF has germinated. Still no show on the Nanda Devi.

Purple Bud x Blueberry is recovering from its initial slow start, but has deformed leaves. I've seen this trait before, but in the past they've grown out of it. Will keep a close eye.

Blueberry #4 (a P2 I made with a 2019 grow of MSNL Blueberry) is growing slowly and has distorted leaves. It was the only one of 3 to germinate. I've replanted another 3.

Just topped the Mistress Kush x MMWR & two of the Dance World x Buddah F2s.
Had to give the two ACE CBDs a bit of support as they were getting floppy. Dont normally like to do this, as I prefer to do tough love & select for plants that can stand on their own, but these are feminised seed (and the last two I had) so I'm spoiling them

Mostly progressing well, although some oddly yellowing leaves... I've upped the feed strength from EC 0.7 to EC 1.0, and will hold it here for a while to see what happens. Most of them look fine, but I'm growing quite a range here, inc F2s, so expect variation.

Looks like the ACE CBD x (Medical Mass x White Rhino #6) has turned a corner after its shaky start. A couple weeks sitting there looking like death, and now it is starting to grow again.

The Purple Bud x Blueberry F1 has also taken off and is outgrowing its initial leaf deformation as I'd hoped. Very interested to see the P2 Blueberry #4 also has similar leaf deformation. Cant remember if they share the same Blueberry father plant, but definitely from the same seed batch (MSNL). One of the other PB x BBs I'v grown had similar leaf distortions as a seedling.

I replanted some extra Blueberry #4 as I only had one germ initially, and have also planted a pot of 6 Blueberry #2s (the other P2 line from my 2019 MSNL Blueberry grow) to see if they show similar traits, and also because I'm worried about the low germination and want to keep the line going.

Here are the two Dance World x Buddah F2s I topped a few days ago - looking v droopy & sad. Not sure why...? Their sibling next door is fine, and the other plants are all presenting nicely.

Nanda Devi are still a no-show. Might move them out of the growspace soon. So it goes. I've also planted some extra Purple Bud x Blueberry F1s, and the last 3 remaining seeds of the Mistress Kush x Syrian, because the one that I popped earlier looks so delicious with its sturdy leaves. Just got a good feeling about these.
