i have a SSH mom that has grown past my light apparatus. i dont want to take to cut and plant the other side branches right now since i dont really have room to keep another three mother plants.



i have since taken the bottom growth for clones and planted in soil; i also took the biggest branches (starting from the bottom) and tried to clone those in my bubble cloner setup but they pretty much didnt make it.


once i cut it down and replant it what is it that i would have to make sure of besides nutes and humidity (i am guessing that i would have to treat it like any other clone)?

i have TAKE ROOT (powder for soft wood trees/plants), ROOTONE (powder for cuttings) and DYNA GROW:KLN (liquid hormone)., i was wondering which one would i use for this particular situation? if the circumstances were different i would have done the experiment and report later but i dont wanna take that chance this time and lose the mom altogether.

how long should i cut the main stem that is going underground? how far down should it be? should i strip the outside for better powder/liquid contact?

friend in deed let me get this straight...you want to essentially cut that bad boy off at the mid point and hopefully clone it????

if that is the case I would say a big Negative Good Buddy. that will be woody as hell and will likely not want to root. the clones you have pics of look really big. why don't you trash them and cut those little side branches down at the bottom.

or, just cut off the whole top of the plant, say just above the third small branch on the left. then begin to tie it down and train it.

just some thoughts.

i second that one jip,friend id cut it in half and keep the bottom part...it will be easier to keep it alive then to get the other part to root.like the man jip said then you can start training the parts that you leave.keep her small and bushy this time.

you gotta beat them sats up early when they're young.
its easier to keep em shorter that way.
