I should have hit the switch myself before I left for work early. I new I should have. I'm doing a shed grow and the temps have been getting ridiculous..so I have to turn on a window AC unit after about 10:30AM.

I knew I should have done it. But I left instructions with my girl instead to save a couple of hours electricity. And you know..she really did try to do this right. She simply put the switch on the FAN ONLY setting instead of the LO COOL setting. Easy mistake. Anyone could have made it. BUT WHY THE F___ did it have to happen to MY PLANTS?!

Anyhow (calming down) I've turned the HID off and am only using the CFLs to reduce heat. (I'm treating this like sunburn until I get better advice.) I've removed all browned leaves (the ones next to the center light were especially crisped.) She's droopy and depressed and I'm worried as hell about her. I've been spraying her with mist every two hours and had a fan pointed at her for a bit (hope it doesn't dry her out more..)

I have no idea what I'm doing, but I'll take all of the help I can get. Thanks ahead of time.

Oh yeah... She will be just fine. Restore the climate to norm and she will be bavk to normal in a couple of days... Dont over correct and fuck with it too much... She will perk back up.

Well, regardless of how strong she looked..

I checked her roots and they feel dead. They feel like that string shit you pull out of a squash or a pumpkin. She got boiled. Her leaves are dried-out shriveled husks now. I am beyond upset at the moment.

This puts me back about a month and I'm not exactly Mr. Patient. This project is my sensei in that sense.

Grrr...f^%&!! Now to spend the whole morning trying not to make my gf feel like shit about forgetting to turn the AC on. F$%^!!

Why don't you just set the thermostat, and leave it on all the time. It won't run if room temp stays low. If not, this will happen again. A sure thing. How much are saving, vs. how much loss in yield [not to mention quality] will there be. The consistent temps will pay for themselves in higher yield. That's what thermostats are for.
