Ez-Cloner + Eco Plus Chiller in a hot veg room?

Ok I have a ez-clone 30 and when you put you hand in the water its warm...the room temp is around 75-80F because of the 400w in the room...so the water is about the same temp....I get roots but I would not mind spending 400$ on a chiller to bring down temps 10F anyone do this for faster/better roots????

Well..

Well..

My Ez clone 30 also gets too warm. I use 16, 24, 32 oz plastic bottles filled 3/4 with water and frozen. My room temp is maintained @ 72 degrees by my 12k btu AC. I believe mid 70's is fine for rooting cuttings.

You could also buy a an interval timer, but the good ones cost like $80.00. I am thinking about getting one that runs 1/4. 1 minute on 4 minute off 1 minute on.. etc. I have heard of others doing similar. I don't like the idea of cycling the pump all the time but thats what warranties are for I guess.

A chiller would definately work but thats rather expensive IMO.

Hope this helps, good luck CF

To tell ya the truth Jessee, it would be much easier and much cheaper to clone in rapid rooters, plastic tray with a dome. Your room temps are perfect for it and its dead simple. I get roots a couple days faster with rapid rooters than with my ez-60 and my ez temps stay perfect at 78f.

I think the rapid rooters, tray and dome might cost $25-30 bux

chiller info...

chiller info...

I just hooked up a 1/10th hp inline chiller to my 120 site ez cloner. I set temps to be at a constant 74 degrees. If anyone wants diagrams or more info just pm me. It works great with roots in about 5 days. The chiller was found used on online at CL for 225$ and it had been used only 4 months.
