EZ-CLONE problems....

i never have problems with mine 100%, use plain tap water, make sure its doesnt get too hot, mine actually gets up to around 80f(room temp) during the summer. dont mess w/ those clones for 14 days period, the more you fiddle with them the longer it takes to root! (thats what my problem was when i 1st started cloning). aslo my clones are about 2x as long as i would use in rockwool, to give the stem plents of surface area, i never scoure the stem either

My EZ Cloner 30 works great. I've been using it for 3 years and no complaints, other than it is a PITA to clean properly. I agree that its a very expensive way to clone, but that's the price you pay for a true set it and forget it system.

I love a tray of rapid rooters, humidity dome, and occasional misting. I get 90-100% success every time with that method. My issue is that I have more than one grow at any given point, and I spend as little time as possible at each. The rapid rooter work great if you dont mind pulling the dome every 2-3 days and misting the cuttings.

I like the fact that I can drop 30 cutting in my EZ, add SM-90 and Clonex to it and completely forget that it exists for a week or two. I usually have about 60-70% rooted in the first week and at 14 days in every single cutting is ready to plant with well over 8" of root mass hanging down. Yes the EZ is a pain to clean properly, but when its dialed in properly it works great.

$14 for a giant bag or perlite. I'm playing a mix of that and vermiculite with earthworm castings to see if it helps them jumpstart after rooting. If I did use an aerocloning system, I'd use something that would allow me to switch over to growing right away. I use an aquamist IV for cloning. It hold 60-2" pots in a 2x2 area. I can grow out 16 of them in 4" pots if I like for around $250 and it self drains. Check out the video 15lbs in 80 days. Not a bad video, but I think he lies about his yields though.

pearlte & vermiculite is the ultimate cheap rooter, just a pain on a larger scale, i used to get root soooo fast in that mix.

after sticking my cuts into cubes there was a root explosion. all of my cuts rooted in just a few days. i don't know what's up with me and the EZ cloners.

You must have done your work on the proper moon cycle.. It makes a WORLD of difference. look into biodynamics...

Perlite and vermic are nice and convenient even on a large scale. I do over a couple hundred cuttings in an area the size of a piece of pater. I use 4" x 4" containers filled with the mix to do over 60 plus cuts on a regular basis. Since I don't use a dome, I don't have to worry about mold or mildew when cuttings touch each other.

this is a good thread. I learned several things here. Well first I learned about scarring the stems. I wasn't doing this previously.

I'm still on the fence about the ezcloner but those that are able to get results do awesome with it apparently.
